Venice was our first stop while on a two week trip to Italy and we absolutely LOVED it there! We did this tour the first day which I recommend to give us an overview of Venice so that we could explore later on our own. The Basilica was simply gorgeous and so wonderful to go inside with the guide who knew so much history since she was a local who also spoke good English. Having headsets on is the way to go since you can wander and look on your own while getting the knowledge without having to be right next to the guide to hear the information. The walking guide was great because we went on some side streets and campos and got interesting information that we would have never seen or known on our own. Venice is brimming with so many interesting streets around every corner that it is so fun to just get lost and go with it! Then we had the Grand Canal Ride that took us through the canal while having narration the whole time. It is simply gorgeous and what a wonderful introduction to beautiful Venice. It was wonderful and we are so happy we did it. In fact we took six Viator tours during our two week stay in Venice, Florence and Rome and all of them were fantastic and I highly recommend! It is truly the best way to get a feel for the history and people so that you can go explore on your own later.
Tour guide was excellent and made the experience so much more than had I been alone. Without a guide, you'd miss too many subtle pieces of history and information, detracting from the visit. As usual, Viator/City Wonder Tours exceeded my expectations!
Chiara was amazing. She is a wealth of knowledge and so very approachable. She made us all feel so welcome and learned by the end of our tour. We came to love Venice that much more thanks to her. Our kids were enthralled with everything she had to say. Don't miss this tour, you will shortchange your self if you do.
If you only have one day in Venice like we did this is the perfect tour- it gave us a great over view of the history of Venice all the while seeing all the key points of Venice. I just wish we had done it in the morning so we had time to shop afterwards.
This is a great tour and probably one of the best ways to see all parts of Venice. Beware that the tour says it runs for 2 hours with a 1 hour water taxi ride which we understood to be a two hour tour all up one hour walking, one hour in the water taxi however it is actually a 3 hour tour. Because of the misunderstanding the tour would have overlapped our next Viator booked tour however our guide Susan did all she could to negotiate with the water taxi driver to drop us near the start point of the next tour so we didn't miss out. Gladly we were able to do both tours in the limited time we had before reboarding our ship.
We had an awesome time, it was a great tour and the tour guide was very knowledgable and shared her enthusiasm with us. Definitely worth it, the best ways to see venice if you do not have a lot of time. It is a very comprehensive tour.
Amazing! Susan was an incredible tour guide- so knowledgeable. I would highly taking the tour with her. Thank you Susan. We had a wonderful time!

Fantastic!! We loved the small group 7 size, and our tour guide Marie was great! Great information about Venice, with humor throughout to keep things interesting. It felt like a long tour in a good way. Going out on the boat felt crucial to the Venice experience as well. Over all, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Susan was our tour guide and she has been perfect, taking care of each details and making sure everyone is comfortable throughout the tour.
Very informative and pleasant tour, slow walks across the town and into the amazing St Mark's Basilica. The tour was ended with the water taxi ride. It was a very relaxing tour, Susan was very helpful and informative! Great way to start my venice stay
Thoroughly enjoyed this tour! - Susan our guide was very good, knowledgeable and took the tour at a relaxed pace making sure we had the time to take in the sights and history of Venice. The boat ride was perfect to see the sights you would otherwise miss from just walking around yourself. Very worthwhile taking this tour.
Tour guide was great. The water taxi ride was better than the gondola ride.
Tour guide was wonderful, tour maybe a tad too long but overall excellent
Really did enjoy this one!!!! One of the best tours we did in Venice. Enjoyable and interesting!
Best part was the hour on the water taxi. Definitely recommended!
Our tour guide, Susan, was outstanding!! What knowledge of Venice and its history. The boat tour was the BEST way to see this lovely city. In the morning, we had also a wonderful tour of the Doge's Palace, conducted by a lovely and entertaining Italian guide. We basically saw the prisons and their history, and then finished up on our own. The artwork and beauty of the Palace is simply mind-boggling. We only had two days in Venice, so this tour was a great way to get to know the city. Bring your walking shoes, however!!!
Fran, the guide, was clear, friendly, and competent. Both the canal ride and walking tour were just what we wanted. Saw the 2d tier of the basilica and walked through at a leisurely pace along with the commentary. The walk through the back streets was something I would not have ventured on my own! Great tour!
This tour was well worth it. Guide was great...very knowledgeable. More activities than expected.
We only wished we could have started our visit with this tour. Besides introducing us to the main sights of Venice, we spent a great deal of the time away from the crowds. There is much to see away from the maddening crowds. The taxi ride was also a great way to learn the layout of the city

This is the one tour you should take if you do not have much time. Highlights are the awesome San Marco Basilica and the Water taxi tour. You will skip the very very long line when visiting the San Marco Basilica. The water taxi tour trough the canals, will give you an excellent impression of Venice. The guide - Celica ? - is very friendly and knowledgeable.
We had THE BEST tour guide Mosa probably spelling that wrong! But Italian for Moses is his name Incredible knowledge of history and his city. Superb knowledge of art history-- he was funny, charming and just made the three hours fly by. Incredible walking tour-- just so much history and connections to where Venetian history fits into world history. We all had such a good time. I would suggest this tour to anyone visiting Venice-- request Mosa you won't be disappointed!!
Our tour guide Julia was good fun and very knowledgable, this is a great way of seeing Venice in a few hours.
This tour was fabulous. The walking tour took us on back streets we could never find again on our own. We saw the real Venice. The Grand Canal Water Taxi ride also took us on many streets that the Gondolas do not visit, so you see more of Venice than any other tour.
