OUr tour guide was very knowledgeable. His english was amazing. Although the tour is 7 1/2 hrs long - we did have like a 2 hr break. The tour also included a 35 min Gondola ride which in its self is around €80
well worth the money we paid to see the 3 tractions.

Our tour guide Veronica was very informative. The tour was in two parts with about an 1 1/2 hour break in between for lunch on your own. The Gondola Ride was ok. They put 6 people in one Gondola, so if your looking for a personal touch Gondola ride, this will not be it. The ride is just before lunch and last about 1/2 hour. We still had a great time and learned a lot. Take note, we had read when booking this tour that no shorts or sleeveless shirts were allowed. Well this isn't entirely true. YES, sleeveless shirts are a NO NO, but shorts Even for men are allowed IF they touch the top of the knee. They suppose to cover the knee, but everyone had NO problem getting in with them just above. The Basilicas are not air conditioned or if they were, they are very weak. Shorts are needed to stay cool.

Seeing this part of Venice with a guide gave us historical background and perspective. Our tour guide Moses was very friendly and informative. We enjoyed seeing the produce and fish markets, seeing the Rialto district and bridge in the low season---fewer people!, The gondola ride, shared with 4 other people, was fun, but we saw mostly the smaller canal areas----just a bit disappointing---certainly not romantic! Basilica San Marco and the Doges Palace were amazing and having a guide to provide all the historical background is so helpful. It was a long day of walking, especially on the cobblestone streets, but worth it all by the end of the day.
