Our tour guide Pam was wonderful and so knowledgeable. The Dodges Palace was my favorite part and seeing the prison cells and the stories! We met a great group from California and they were a kick! I wanted to give 5 stars except for the gondola ride. Our gondola operator screamed at us for taking his picture. He told us “he was not our clown and we needed permission to take his picture.” What? You’re a gondola driver in one of he most tourist places on earth! Of course we wanted a picture of the gondola experience. As we departed he called us stupid Americans and I thought to myself....without tourists your job doesn’t exist. Our group wanted to tip him before our ride and we even discussed how much. This guy was a real jerk and realized he despised his job and us. My recommendation would be to screen the gondola operators beforehand otherwise skip it all together and do the tour only!

This tour has two parts. I needed to use the laboratory after the first part. And because of the crowd and lines I was 5 mines late to join the second half. I was stunned that they left without me, as I tackled my way back to the meeting point, and even went to the places- the Academia and Duomo, to see if the guide at least left my ticket there. She didnt. I didnt get to see what I paid for. Extremely unprofessional and I feel robbed.

OUr tour guide was very knowledgeable. His english was amazing. Although the tour is 7 1/2 hrs long - we did have like a 2 hr break. The tour also included a 35 min Gondola ride which in its self is around €80
well worth the money we paid to see the 3 tractions.

Our tour guide Veronica was very informative. The tour was in two parts with about an 1 1/2 hour break in between for lunch on your own. The Gondola Ride was ok. They put 6 people in one Gondola, so if your looking for a personal touch Gondola ride, this will not be it. The ride is just before lunch and last about 1/2 hour. We still had a great time and learned a lot. Take note, we had read when booking this tour that no shorts or sleeveless shirts were allowed. Well this isn't entirely true. YES, sleeveless shirts are a NO NO, but shorts Even for men are allowed IF they touch the top of the knee. They suppose to cover the knee, but everyone had NO problem getting in with them just above. The Basilicas are not air conditioned or if they were, they are very weak. Shorts are needed to stay cool.

Overall a great tour. It's a long day but well worth it to see everything in one day. We walked and talked for about 2 hours, then had our ride. We had about a half hour of free time and then waited in line for 30min for our ride in a gondola. They put 5-6 people in each and the ride is about a half hour. Be sure to tip the gondola people. We also had about 1.5hrs for lunch around St. Marks square. Lunch was on our own and the prices there are high. The afternoon was going into the church and the dodges palace. Our guide knew everything. He liked to walk and talk and then stand and talk. I feel like we got a full semester of Italian history 101 in college in one day. If you only have one day, this is the way to go.
