Best tour we did on our entire European trip! Simonea was an AMAZING Guide!! The other couple on our tour cancelled and the last minute so it was just me and my Boyfriend. We went to so many local gems! I booked it for the beginning of our stay in Venice and so glad I did. We went back to some of the places for the great food and drink during the rest of our stay. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
It was lovely to see another side of Venice and get the local perspective and history from our guide Simona, who obviously loves her beautiful city. Food and wine were great with warm and friendly local bars full of character. Our nice small group of nine ended up being friends and posing for a group photo. This was a highlight of our two weeks touring Italy and shouldn't be missed.
A great experience to try local wines and foods. Guide was efficient, friendly and kept us on schedule. Highly recommend....just be careful about how much wine you drink before going into glass-blowing establishments :
Great experience and guide! A good start the the holiday and an excellent way to feel more comfortable wondering around like a local.
Elisabetta was a great guide. Great way to see where the locals hang out. Loved it!!

WE MET GIAVONNA AT THE MEETING POINT, AND OFF WE WENT INTO PARTS OF VENICE WE NEVER KNEW EXISTED. SHE WAS DELIGHTFUL, FUN AND WE LOVED EVERY MINUTE. A REAL HIGHLIGHT FOR OUR TRIP TO ITALY.
This tour was fantastic! Simona was a warm, friendly, knowledgeable guide who walked us through some less traveled Venice streets and gave us the time and incentive to blend as a group before we started drinking and tasting. We visited 4 wine bars and had a different aperitif and appetizer at each. She taught us how to do the chichetti scene on our own and gave us the business cards of the places we visited so we could return on our own. Afterward she helped us find the transport we needed back to our hotels. If you want to find out how the locals eat and drink on a budget, you want a primer on local drinking customs, or you are a traveler who wants to spend the evening with friendly travelers, this is the tour for you.
Amazing tour! Lots of great food and wine! A wonderful way to experience the food culture of Venice!
We had so much fun with this tour. Would defiantly do it again!!
The tour guide was great and the food and wine were very good. I also liked that we got to try five different food and wine parings.
This was a fun activity to see lesser known/touristy areas of Venice all while sampling delicious local food and wine. A great way to get a taste of the local culture.
Very interesting tour with information and advice on the area along with wine and food.
Friendly informative guide.
Simona was an excellent guide for this tour. Friendly and informative, she took us to some interesting bars in the vicinity of Rialto where we tried a different wine in each one along with a variety of cicchetti. All were really delicious. Altogether a thoroughly enjoyable evening in the company of some lovely people from around the world. Definitely recommended.
Highly recommended. Great combination of seeing the less touristy areas of Venice, get a bit of history and then most importantly sample some local dishes and drinks. Guide was very knowledgeable and friendly
Really really enjoyed this tour - thought it seemed expensive but we got to see places, eat and drink specially chosen food and wines with Claire that we wouldn't have. Did this at 5.30 and thought it was great.
The tour led by Claire, was lots of fun, with plenty to eat and drink. She was vivacious as well as knowledgeable. The only downside was the meeting place which was so obscure that we got lost trying to find it and were 15 minutes late.
Best thing we did in Venice.... A veritable pub crawl Italian-style. Loved all the wine and most of the cicchetti! Strong recommend!
Our tour guide Elizabeth was fantastic! She not only took us to really cool gastropubs, but shared some interesting insights about Venice and the history. She was extremely friendly and our group had a great time. The smaller group size, I think we were about 10-12 people was ideal. It was a really fun way to meet other travelers and spend a unique night out in Venice. Highly recommend!
This was a really neat walking tour especially for small town folks like us who don't enjoy the crowds. We were taken to very quaint little wine spots with great appetizers.
This tour was so great! I was traveling alone and this tour helped me feel more connected. It was so fun to see where the locals go and our guide was so gracious. She instantly felt like a friend.
You MUST to do this tour! I went as a solo traveler and couldn't have had more fun! Simona was our guide and she was FANTASTIC. Informative, fun and lively. I liked that when she did teach us things about Venice, they were more the sociological things than the historical things -- like for example, explaining the wells and the water and also telling us about Project MOSE. I got enough history out of my other tours. Honestly, I loved all the little bars we stopped in -- we got to see a university graduation party and learn all about those traditions too. I loved the food, I loved the drink. Honestly, loved this tour. It's a must do and I've already recommended it to my friends visiting next weekend!
Great tour, very interesting and fun. Learnt lots of hints and tips about where to go to get away from the busy areas and how to get about Venice. So good we repeated it ourselves the following day!
This tour was fantastic, not only the food and wine but also for becoming locals for a little while. Highly recommended
Wonderful experience that gave us a sense where residents go to eat and drink.
