As night falls on Venice and the crowds disappear, discover the city’s darkest secrets on this devilishly entertaining ghost tour. Wander through narrow passageways and past the blackened, vacant canals to uncover Venice’s haunted history. Listen to your ghost-hunter guide spin tales about the sinister deeds and tragic ends of the figures who once walked the streets — some of whom are believed to still wander as restless spirits.
  • Guided Venice by night ghost walking tour
  • Discover spine-chilling ghost stories and legends about the Venice of old
  • Delve into empty squares, haunted alleys and other hidden corners
  • Learn all about Biasio, the child-killing medieval butcher of Venice
  • See architectural gems such as the Bovolo Staircase and hear about their mysterious past
  • Enjoy entertaining commentary from a ghostly-minded guide
After night falls on this atmospheric city, meet up with your guide near the famous Rialto Bridge. From there, journey through a labyrinth of narrow streets and deserted squares as your guide recounts tales of Venice’s haunted history. From the sacred to the profane, you’ll learn about the noble-blooded ghosts that wander the city’s grand palaces and the medieval child-killer Biasio, who was said to chop up little limbs and add them to his stews.
Visit the Gothic Fortuny Palace and beautiful Bovolo staircase — an architecturally impressive structure that conceals strange secrets in its spiraling stone archways. Learn about ancient cemeteries buried beneath the cobblestone streets and ponder the legends of fearsome sea creatures lurking in Venetian canals.
Step down to a secret passageway where forbidden lovers once met by torchlight (water levels permitting). Finally, let your imagination run wild in the shadowy Calle dei Assassini, once a popular haunt for hardened criminals and murderers and the site of many dark deeds. Your guide will lead you back to the Rialto Bridge. From there, you are free to continue roaming the shadowy city on your own — if you dare!

this was both factual and entertaining, full marks to the Edi (female) who not only delivered on fact but with a flourish, whilst also showing us other areas of Venice, recommended if you have time to wander and be entertained.

Tour guide was very knowledgeable and personable. Told several stories about various spots in Venice to intrigue the tour members. Not particularly ghastly but still entertaining.

A great night stroll through the back lanes of a mystical city. Good information and very-well guided. But I expected it to be a bit scarier. No ghosts or dead bodies floating in the canals. Enjoy.Breandan, Dublin

they should definitely use a wireless sound system, like they do at museum tours, not because the tourguide is so quiet, but because of the noise around the area that drowns out the tourguide.
