Good tour through the canals of Venice.

We not only had a comfortable boat to tour in, we had a very nice guide to introduce us to the Grand Canal. It was interesting and educational and fun, in spite of the light rain that fell during the last part of the tour. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. I can recommend it.

This tour was very expensive and fairly limited. We enjoyed being on the canal but it was very short for the price. For a family of four, it was close to $500.

Dear Client , I'm not sure you are referring to our tour , as the cost for 4 people would be around 200 $ ( 48 euro per person ) and not 500 $ . The tour is limited to 8/9 people and lasts 1 hour as adverstised on the tour description . Kind regards Monica

We really enjoyed this tour of the Grand Canal and several of the smaller canals. Our guide was really knowledgeable and entertaining and his English was excellent. I'm sorry I didn't get his name so won't be able to properly thank and recommend him. The weather was perfect and although we have been to Venice several times and have taken many boat trips to various islands, we've never toured the canals by boat as we were slightly worried that they wouldn't be worth the time or the cost, but this one definitely was worth every euro! Can wholeheartedly recommend.

Very interesting tour. In addition to hitting the highlights of the Grand Canal, we also toured some of the smaller canals. We were in a small group of six in one of the "speedboats" - plenty of room in the boat and the guide was very good.

The staff was a little late arriving and sometimes I had difficulty understanding the tour guide. However, I enjoyed her accent and personal knowledge of Venice. I learned some things and enjoyed standing up at the front of the boat. Overall, very enjoyable!

We really enjoyed this cruise in Venice. They took us through some of the interior canals and gave us a brief explanation of the sites and the different neighborhoods. We enjoyed this much more the gondola ride that we did. Less traffic and more scenic. I would highly recommend this tour. We didn't have any trouble finding the meeting spot. It is right in front of the entrance to the Royal Gardens just like the instructions said.

Couldn’t find the tour guide

We were told to meet at the royal gardens which come to find out was closed for construction. We waited around 30 min and even walked around a bit to find our tour guide/boat driver with a Viator sign. Someone should have emailed be about where to meet the tour guide. (I checked my email) Nope, no one. So we left. I paid good money for this. I was looking forward to it. I hope I can get reimbursed for the expense.

I’m very sorry that you did not manage to take the tour . I wonder though what might have happened for you not seeing our guide at the entrance of the Royal Gardens , which is where we meet for the majority of our tours in Venice . AS specified in the voucher we meet at the entrance of the Royal Gardens and not inside the gardens . Moreover I ‘m sure that if you had called the office number specified in the tour voucher , our staff would have helped you in finding the meeting point . Kindest Regards Monica

A nice overview of Venice

Good tour. Well organised with clear instructions where to meet the guide. The group was split into smaller groups of 8 which was good. The organiser hired a water taxi with microphone system which was OK, but would have been better to use earpieces like most other tours that we did in Italy. The guide was a local and spoke very good English. Her knowledge of Venice and its history was fantastic. We certainly learned a lot during the hour. There was a mix of history and celebrity (e.g. where George Clooney got married). Remember that this is a tour mostly of the Grand Canal (e.g. Rialto Bridge and the buildlings directly facing the canal) but does include some of the back waters (which we found probably more interesting). In hindsight, we wish we booked a two or three hour tour that would have spent more time with the 'hidden' Venice and maybe even a quick glimpse of the three main Islands. But for the price and duration it was very good.

The boat was actually a standard Vienna water taxi. It held 8 easily, could have held more but they thankfully broke up our group. The guide was well informed and pleasant, while a bit hard to understand. Route and number of places seen was EXCELLENT.. Far more than a gondola could accomplish in 4 times the time. Great for sightseeing if you want to skip the over-priced romantic option.
