What To Expect

Start your walking tour of Venice in the morning or afternoon. Meet at a central location and set off with a small group limited to 15 people. Alternatively, select a private tour exclusively for you and your party. Your guide is a well-informed local who provides insight into the former maritime republic.

Stroll the pedestrianized streets to historical areas and particular districts that include Rialto, San Marco, and Cannaregio. Cross charming footbridges that connect some hundreds of small islands that comprise Venice, including the Rialto Bridge. Get a look at the surrounding area, once the financial and trade center of Venice, and walk past Marco Polo's house; where one of the world's most famous travelers was born.

See Campo Santa Margherita and the Basilica di Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, where the 16th-century Italian painter Titian is buried. Upon crossing Campo San Bartolomeo see the Church of San Giovanni e Paolo, the resting place of many Venice doges, or leaders, of the city-state. See the Scuola Grande di San Rocco and finish at St. Mark's Square (Piazza San Marco).

Your guide can offer recommendations on where to eat and how to spend your free time in Venice.

A guide was a nice person. I would recommend this tour to people who don’t know much about art and history.

Amazing walking tour with a local. We went off the beaten path and saw things the average tourist would not see. Guide "Alice" was fantastic and passionate about her city. About ten in the group.

Very knowledgeable guide. Very candid about the real history. Unusual sites. Not a typical tour of churches and museums.

This tour is a perfect intro to Venice. It is affordably priced for the breadth of the information and the experience. Our guide Denise was very friendly and knowledgable. She told fun anecdotes, answered our questions and provided useful tips for the remainder of our stay in Venice.
An excellent first introduction to Venice with an expert, friendly guide.
Andrew_P, Oct 2022
The local guide, Alice, was friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and spoke very good English. She was always happy to answer questions, and the tour went on longer than advertised due to Alice's willingness not to rush about. The tour was on our first morning in Venice and was a great way of being introduced to the city, get our bearings, and be shown some of the key sights so we knew where we wanted to go to explore further. Alice had lots of tips too, including how to navigate around the maze of streets. The starting point was Campo San Pantalon which was easy to find from Santa Lucia station. It is worth taking a look into the church there whilst waiting for the guide to arrive. It looks a bit anonymous and plain on the outside but inside is a jaw-dropping painted ceiling that is amazing. Overall we had a great tour and it was very good value for money. An excellent introduction to Venice.
Very informative...

We had a great time on this tour yesterday. Unfortunately, we didn’t catch the name of our guide but due to an emergency problem with our original guide, he stepped in at the last moment and was fab! We’ve been to Venice several times, but learnt lots of interesting and fun facts on this trip and are really pleased we did it..
