What To Expect

Meet your guide in central Venice near the Rialto Bridge to begin this fun and delicious food tour.

Explore the busy Rialto Market to see colorful stalls selling seafood, vegetables, and fruit. Throughout your tour, see some of the main sights of the city, including the Campo San Bartolomeo, Campo San Polo, Basilica dei Frari, and more.

Taste some of Venice's local specialties, such as the bite-sized cicchetti served at bars all over the city. These tapas-like snacks are popular with Venetians who meet friends after work for a drink and a few bites before dinner.

Sample cheese made in the region, traditional cakes, and buranelli biscuits. All food is included in the tour (drinks are at own expense).

The tour was about the right length and not too long (2.5hrs) it was just street food so don't expect restaurant food.We both enjoyed it.

Great guide. Remember to give yourself enough time to get there!!! You are going to walk a bit. Portion is not too big. Fun experience.

Fabulous food tour with local guide Anna who was not only friendly but very knowledgeable and helpful. A great way to spend a morning in Venice exploring the fish and fruit markets and sampling plenty of local drinks 😁

Would Highly recommend the Venice food tour. Denys from Venice was an absolute blast and myself and my art we enjoyed our tour. Very insightful, funny and accommodating to everyone on the tour. Worst Street food tour of my life

Ana the guide was rude and abrupt. Couldn't wait for the tour to end by the pace she walked through the city. We did not get enough food and our experience was totally different to some of these other reviews.

Stops were good. Food was good. Guide Ana walked way too fast and never looked back to see if the group was with her. Didn’t allow any opportunity to see anything along the way. Raced from place to place. Even caught up with the group that started 1/2 hr before us. Recommend the tour with a different guide.
Unfortunately if was cancelled, unsure why.

It was cancelled and I hadn’t been notified until I text the guide whilst waiting for people to attend. The guide had tried to call me but I had changed SIM cards as came from OS, but there was no email contact and I would have seen that had one been sent. It was disappointing as I was really looking forward to it- and I’m unsure why it was cancelled…..perhaps minimum numbers weren’t reached.

Wonderful experience, our guide, Vanessa, was warm, funny and very knowledgeable. We learnt a lot about Venice, it’s history, carnival as well as tasting a selection of great food in wonderful places. Thank you Vanessa for a great time and for booking us a fantastic restaurant in the evening. All ten of us had a fantastic time and the Gondola trip you suggested was fantastic. Venice was beautiful and Vanessa made it magical.

This tour was a disappointment; do not waste your time and money. The only good food was the pastries. The rest was cold, stale, and unappetizing. The tour guide was friendly and informative. The end point is a very long distance from the start point; we had a difficult time finding our way back to our hotel.

Anna, our guide, had great energy and shared so much of her knowledge of Venice with us and the local places we visited to eat were perfect. She was truly amazing! If you do this tour, ask for her to be your guide!

We had Ana as a guide, who was brilliant! We did this on our first day in Venice, it really helped us get our bearings and Ana gave us some great recommendations and help for the rest of our stay! Really recommend this tour, great for foodies and getting some wider local knowledge and history too
Disappointing

This was a disappointing tour for us for multiple reasons: - There was very little food - total of 4 savoury snacks (a tramezzini, a polenta bite and 2 cicchetti) each 2 bites of food and a small gelato at the end. - The food market closes early so an afternoon tour means that the way you see the market is from the photos on guide's phone; market being in the name of this tour is therefore misleading -The guide was unapproachable and brusque and repeatedly reminded us of what a nuisance us tourists are for the Venetians and seemingly to her The one thing that I found was done well is accommodating children food tastes

Good tour

Our guide was knowledgeable and we enjoyed the little bits of food. I would not come on a completely empty stomach as the food items were small and not plentiful. We wish the guide did a better job and bringing the group together as a whole versus talking to people individually.
