At first I didn't want to book a tour to see the basilica and the palace, however once I saw the queues to get in, I hopped straight online to book - and I'm so glad I did. There are two separate tours, and both were fantastic. You skip the lines, and hear great stories that bring both buildings to life. The walking tour was also great, and we went to a few places away from the typical tourist locations. The only downside was that I had about 2.5hrs break between the two tours, but I took the opportunity to climb the campanile tower in the meantime and went for another wander through the town.
Both tours were excellent, guides were very knowledgeable and fresh. Skip the line is a good idea as the queues were very long. The wireless devices were also very good and meant you didn't need to stick close to the guide. Highly recommended.

Excellent tour. Guide was very knowledgeable and it was great to skip the line-up for tickets
Found this to be a great tour. Our guide Elisabeta was excellent - great information, good English and a good humour. Group was small enough tow work well. Meeting point is easy to find aswell.
Great tour for beginner/basic wine knowledge. A beautiful way to see the countryside. A perfect amount of time too. Highly recommend

We absolutely loved Venice and this tour was perfect for what we were looking for. We really enjoyed how knowledgeable our tour guide was. Her knowledge about the history of Venice and the Doge's Palace ad St Mark's Basilica made everything so much more meaningful than it would have been if we just wandered around and looked at things without anyone to share the history. And skipping the line at St Mark's Basilica was a must!!! It was just right and still left us lots of time to do our own wandering throughout the gorgeous streets of Venice.
Superb tout. Both our morning and afternoon guides were great. Our afternoon guide, Barbara, was a Venice native and so experienced in touring Venice. She made the afternoon fly by, imparting her knowledge and great sense of humor!
We had two great guides for the tour. Both had exceptional knowledge of art, architecture and history and spoke great English. The meeting places were easy to find and close to San Marco Square.
This was a great tour with an excellent and knowledgeable guide who provided lots of interesting facts and history. The first portion in Doge's palace was a very large group but the radios worked well and we saw lots of the palace. It was extremely hot and sticky inside so was nice we had 3 hours until the next part of our tour to pick up some lunch and head back to our hotel around the corner to eat and relax in the air conditioning. We met at the same place for the afternoon portion which is very easy to find Royal Gardens and this tour was much smaller group which was even better. St Mark's is definitely worth seeing with a guide to get the information - it is so beautiful with all the mosaics the only disappointment is you can't take pictures to remember. The walking portion at the end was also interesting as we got information and history about alleyways and squares we had encountered the day before
The two tours were both well organized and informative. Having headsets for listening to the tour guide are a great plus! Ariana did a wonderful job with the Doges Palace. The paintings in the palace are amazing and the jail was interesting. Sylvia also did a wonderful tour of San Marco Basilica. Very beautiful inside! We will be booking tours for Athens through Viator.
Wonderful! So informative and interesting. Really embellished my enjoyment of Venice. The tour guides on each tour were equally thorough and personable.
I am so pleased I did this tour. Thank you.
This was 2 different tours. The Doge's Palace tour was excellent and the guide was amazing. The Basilica was also excellent and the guide was good, but she tended to only talk to those in front of her and didn't worry if fo were well behind on the walking tour.
Our tour guide was excellent and easy to hear as we had headsets. The tour of the Doges palace was interesting and we were pleased to get the same tour guide for the afternoon tour of St Marks and Venice Walking. A really lovely day. We don and #39;t usually do tours but really felt we gained a lot.
We really enjoyed both tours, but the St Mark's basilica and Venice walking tour were the highlight of the day. Our guide had entertaining stories to tell all along the way.
The guides were excellent, they described with pation. We learned a lot of Venice history.
Excellent tour of the Doges Palace with a very helpful and interesting guide. We skipped the line and went across the Bridge of Sighs to the prison.
Skipping the line in the afternoon for the Basilica tour was very helpful.
I would definitely recommend this tour
