It was fun and learned a lot from history to culture. The Gondola ride was definitely a must!
Josey topped the tour guides we experienced in Italy! She was knowledgeable, funny, informative and overall great! She taught us the best way to experience Venice, to get lost and find hidden treasures. Which we did! Ending the tour on a gondola ride was the cherry on the cake!

Our walking tour was the best. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable with the history of Venice. Venice has always been her home, so it was nice to have someone that was very familiar with the past and present. She walked us through most of the high points of the city. Also gave us a sense of navigating through the narrow walkways, between buildings. Gave her a well deserved tip.The gondola ride was nice. What was lacking was the gondola pilot never said a word to us. It would have been nice if he would have given us some kind of history, something. Always chatting with his fellow pilots as we navigated through the canals. The guy greeting the gondola at the end of the gondola ride attempted to solicit a tip. Very tacky. Negative on the tip.
A great tour by a local Venetian. Amazing history about the city and lots of little known facts. Gondola ride was fun but short
Love the walking tour of Venice. It showed areas we would never have seen and gave us some interesting background into the history of Venice and loved the tidbits about how Venice was built. The Gondola ride was fantastic and a great way to end the walking tour! Totally recommend!
Perfect introduction to the town in the afternoon when we had arrived earlier in the day. Gondola ride is a must! We enjoyed very much.

The walking tour was quite informative. We loved our Gondola ride. You do have to sit with another family to fill the boat though.
We booked the walking tour and gondola ride in advance as we wanted to see Venice off the beaten path and we were not disappointed. Our guide told us from the outset that we would not be going to St Mark's Square or the Rialto bridge but that we would learn the history from a true Venetian.
In the hour and 20 minutes she was with us, we walked through many Campos and alley ways and found some hidden gems that were not in the tour books. We learned about the history of Venice and what lies ahead for the locals as the tourist industry grows. It was a very insightful tour and one we would highly recommend.
At the end of our tour we were taken back to the Campo where we started and waited to be taken, with a much larger group, to the gondola ride. We were told we'd go in groups of 6, which meant that not everyone would be sat in the prime seat at the end of the gondola. We were lucky enough to be at the front of the queue so got the seats, which meant the other pairs had to sit opposite each other or apart. The gondola ride was very silent, as the gondolier didn't speak a word, but it was pleasant enough and we just sat back and took in our surroundings, the highlight being the Grand Canal and the Rialto bridge behind us as we took pictures.
All in all, a great tour and definitely worth doing if you want to learn the real history of this enchanted city.
Stefano our guide tour has explained well the short yet informative history of venice in 1.5hrs worth the trip!
