This 2-hour walking tour of Venice provides an excellent introduction to the city’s highlights and history, plus the classic Venetian experience of riding in a gondola. Meet your guide near St Mark’s Square, where you’ll get an insider’s overview of world-famous attractions like St Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace.

Wander through the surrounding neighborhood as your guide illuminates the history of Venice as a maritime superpower and incubator of Renaissance art. The specific tour itinerary may vary by day, as there is so much to see!

After exploring the city’s romantic streets by foot, climb aboard a traditional gondola boat for a romantic ride along the city’s famous canals. Navigated by a friendly gondolier, cruise by spectacular historic structures along the Grand Canal and float down smaller watery ways in the Fenice neighborhood. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the beautiful city of Venice! This was a wonderful tour to start our trip here and acclimate ourselves to Venice. We loved the gondola ride, which was much longer than we thought it would be. We got to see the sunset over the grand canal. So beautiful!

It was a somewhat rainy day but we were lucky to have a fairly dry gondola ride, which in my opinion, was the best part of the tour. The Gondola drivers were very friendly. The Venice walking tour was worth it - just finding out little details about the city. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. I really enjoyed myself!

Great tour of the hidden parts of Venice with a really knowledgeable guide and great to be able to ask so many questions, Loved the gondola ride too - chance to see Venice from a different angle and you really cannot visit without a gondola ride!
