St Marks was amazing and the host was great! The gondola ride was very crowded - but a must do in Venice. I liked that the day was planned for you but with breaks included so you could enjoy near by shops and restaurants.
We enjoyed our tour with Marco, he made the tour interesting.
Excellect experience. Gondola ride was great! St. Marks Basilica tour was good.
St. Mark Plaza area you can take other tour of the island.
We stayed in Crown Plaza Hotel East Venice then took train ride to Venice Island.
Good way to get a thorough overview of Venice when you are only there for a day or two. Guides were very knowledgeable and seemed to enjoy what they were doing.
This full day tour of Venice was awesome. It even included a gondola ride!! Highly recommend.
Great overall look of Venice. No way to do everything in Venice in one day but this provides a really great overview and highlights. Well worth our time we felt.
This was a great tour that gave us the major highlights of Venice in one day and still had time to explore on our own. This tour was divided into segments with time on our own between each segment. First we did the gondola ride on the Grand Canal, then a tour of St. Mark's Basilica and Doge's Palace skip the line is essential for these places and a one hour water taxi small group tour of the sights on the Grand Canal and nearby areas. There was no guided walking tour of the streets of Venice, but we had an hour or two between the above listed activities to tour on our own. So this was really an all day tour since the gondola ride started at 9:40 AM and the last tour, the water taxi tour, ended around 6 PM. They seem to use local tours that could be purchased on your own, but they do the leg work to put it together in a package, get the advance tickets and coordinate the timing, all at a good price.
Great great tour, nicely spaced and guides were good. Enough time to see all the major stuff, but still have time to your self.
This is a great tour package to get to see Venice. A half hour gondola ride. A 2 hour guided tour of the Cathedral and the Palace. An hour boat tour of the Grand Canal. We enjoyed each part. The only thing that was initially confusing is that these are not consecutive items. When you arrive at the first part they give you a schedule for when you will do the other two parts. We are glad that we had not scheduled anything else that day because our tours were 1030, 1130 and then 430. I do not see any mention in the tour package of it being scheduled this way.
All in all it is a good package and value.
This was an amazing tour. Tour guide could not have been better he knowledge was amazing and he had a great sense of humor. I highly recommend this tour. Well worth the money!!!!
A lot of bang for your buck here...gondola ride, church, Doge's Palace, and another boat ride...one thing I didn't know that l loved finding out-the ticket you use to get into the church and palace is good for a TON of other museums in Venice, too.
Excellent trip and good value for money. We didn't do the hour long water taxi at the end of the day as it was so hot and we were tired. The only negatives were two other parties that were on the trip with us - one turned up 15 minutes which meant that we were hanging around in the blistering heat in St Marks Square and they also had a a big back pack with them so they had to put it in a locker at the Basilica and Doges Palace so more hanging about in the heat while they did that and another woman refused to go on the gondola because she couldn't sit next to her husband! I always find that Viator trips are very good.
Our guides were well organized and very knowledgeable. Every part of the tour was well managed and a great way to experience Venice.
Great tour, fitted the main sights in all in one day with time to walk around and eat in between the tours. One of the attraction tickets also granted access to other attractions that I went to the following day.

This was well worth doing. It enabled us to see much of Venice while skipping lines for the major attractions. Our guide was wonderful -
very knowledgable, easy to understand and friendly. Everyone was given a headset connected to the guide so we did not have to strain in the crowds to hear her voice. We also really enjoyed the water tour of the Grand Canal and our short gondola ride. A lot less expensive than doing it privately and a pleasant experience.
A great tour. A couple of notes - we went in July when it was over 30 degrees celcius and the pre-tour notes said to ensure we wore trousers, had shoulders covered in order to be able to enter the Basilica, and also not to take backpacks. However, gents with long shorts to their knees were being let in, and if your shoulders were uncovered you could buy a paper scarf/sarong at the entry for 1 euro, and finally any bags could be checked in.
In summary it would have been a more comfortable trip if we had have known the above. It was too hot for trousers all day.
Still worthwhile though, especially to be able to skip the queues.
Good value for the money! Gondola ride was great. Tour guide Marco was informative with a great sense of humour while showing us St. Mark's Basilica and the Doge's palace. My only suggestion would be less free time between the tour and Grand Canal boat ride so you're not trying to battle rush hour traffic on the canal! Overall a great day!
Great tour giving you the highlights of Venice, including Gondola ride, when you only have a short time to see it all.
Very knowledeable guides who gave out detailed maps along with verbal instructions
We really enjoyed this tour. You start with a gondola ride which this was the first time we have done that our third time to Venice. You share with up to 6 people to a boat, ours had only 4. The don't sing but it was still nice. Then you go on to the next part of the tour and see the doges palace and the bacillica with a guide that tells you all about it. Very beautiful. then you have a few hours to do some things on your own and then you have to boat ride around the grand canal with a tour guide that tells you about everything you are seeing. Take your camera. So the two hour walking tour is just of the bacillica and the doges palace it doesn't take you anywhere else. I would recommend going out to the islands too. They have a hop on hop off boat in Venice that can take you to all the important stops and you can get a 24 hour pass and get on and off as much as you like. That is a must do also A super good tip is .Check your gps for a grocery store so you can buy your water in a bottle and you will save a lot of money. For a 2 liter bottle it is only 23 cents in euro where on the street you pay 2 euro for the same thing. We bought a six pack for 1.30 Euro and kept a bottle in the refrig at our room in the hotel and kept refilling our bottles.
A first class tour comprised of three main activities:
1. Meet up at gondola station at 9.40 am. Half hour gondola ride shared with no more than eight persons followed by an hour break to wander round St Marks square area on own before assembling at next meeting point in the arches of St Marks square at 11.15 am.
2. Two hour guided walking tours of St Marks Basillica and Doges Palace. No waiting in extensive queues for either venue. Fabulous commentary given via individual radios by knowledgeable and enthusiastc guide Andrew made the tour very interesting and well worth the cost. Approximately 2.5 hour break for lunch and individual exploration of central Venice and move on to final meeting point at a pier on the main promenade of the lagoon.
3. One hour water taxi ride approximately 6 persons per boat of the Grand Canal. Interesting commentary given via microphone pointing out all the major sights en route.
Overall l would highly recommend this tour for any person staying in Venice for only a short time but who wants to see all the main sights in one day.
It was an efficient way to tour Venice! We hit all the key sights in Venice the gondola and boat ride were great!

This was a great tour. Perfect combo of structured and free time. Our St. Marks guide was terrific. Crowds were pretty small on April 22nd, so if you are thinking about a trip, that could be a great time to go.
