    When you arrive in Campo Santa Margherita, you will see a big brown House in the middle of the square, go ahead and wait for Carolyn at the monument with the red pole behind. She will arrive there with the sign “cooking class”.

  • Confirmation will be received at time of booking
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • In case of dietary restrictions due to allergies, food intolerances or religious preferences, please communicate them in advance, so that the chef can adapt the menu accordingly.
  • From april to october the meal will be served outside on the terrace that overlooks the square (only if the weather is good)
  • Near public transportation
  • Not recommended for travelers with back problems
  • Not recommended for pregnant travelers
  • No heart problems or other serious medical conditions

We had the absolute best time with Carolyn. She was so knowledgeable not only about the food but Venice as well. Her class was great for both beginners and more advanced cooks as she had so many tips and tricks to share. The class takes place in her home and it completely made the class being in a real Venetian home, so different than other cooking classes. She made everyone feel comfortable and we all had so much fun! The food was absolutely amazing as well, I cannot believe how well it turned out! Would absolutely recommend this experience! Seriously the best thing we have done!

Great experience for foodies and those curious to learn more about Venice! Carolyn was hospitable, funny, and knowledgeable. She was also fluent in both English and Italian, which eliminated the bottleneck in information that sometimes happens when taking cooking classes with locals. A small group and great choice of foods had everyone hands-on throughout the experience. If we could give this more stars, we would. :)

This tour was the highlight of our trip to Venice. Chef Carolyn was friendly, very well prepared and so professional as she guided us through the pasta & dessert recipes in her Venetian home. I would highly recommend this tour.

This was a wonderful experience! The cooking process was fun and informative and we got to try everything and learned so much! This was one of the most delicious meals we had on the trip and it was exciting to know we made it. I would highly recommend this experience!!

Wonderful class! Extremely well organized and great instruction, Carolyn shares a lot of knowledge and skill throughout the class. Class began with making a dessert, Lingue di gatto with cream del doge. We made a three cheese ravioli with tomato sauce and a tagliatelle pesto, where were all awesome. The cichetti sampling was great and a treat to enjoy with Prosecco while waiting for the sauces to cook. Enjoying lunch on the rooftop terrace was the cherry on top! We can't wait to get back home and practice our new skills!

The teacher (chef) was outstanding. Her explanations , her helpfulness, her recipes made the class so much fun. She was totally prepared. The 5 hours we spent cooking and then enjoying our food was a highlight of our trip.

We had such a wonderful time with Chef Caroline. My husband, son and his fiancé, plus myself were in the class. She welcomed us into her home where we made the best meal we had in Venice. This was one of our favorite activities that we did while we spent 3 weeks traveling through Europe. Highly recommend!

I absolutely LOVED this class!! Carolyn was fantastic, so kind and welcoming to her home. Her home and balcony where we are we’re so beautiful. She also gave us recommendations for things to do in the city and even helped me figure out which shuttle to take to the airport. The food was delicious and I am so excited to try to make it at home! I am not a very good cook at all, but I actually think I could make these recipes on my own. I really learned a lot and enjoyed the entire experience! I wanted to upload photos but the website wouldn’t let me. The food and view were so beautiful, I wish I could share the pictures! But you’ll just have to experience it yourself. 😊

Carolyn was great! Definitely a must book activity if you’re in Venice. I don’t do much cooking and she was extremely helpful during the entire process. I’d recommend doing it earlier in your trip since she gives great recommendations on what to see and do around Venice. The entire experience lasts four hours.

Fun cooking class learning to make dessert cookies, ravioli and pasta. The chef was very friendly and helped teach a lot more than was expected. The class is more like 3.5hr-4hrs vs what Viator has listed. Just be aware.

I had so much fun! Carolyn is a wonderful host, a great teacher, and has some incredible tips in the kitchen and to survive in Venice. She is very generous with her knowledge, and that's always good when you are learning from someone. I highly recommend this experience. We baked, cooked, had a delicious break, and talked a lot. I was a solo traveler and went there in Covid low season, so I had a particular class, and it was amazing. I'm also a vegetarian, and Carolyn made sure to have vegetarian recipes, and I just loved everything! I'm so glad I booked this class!
