Verona Food Walking Tour

Learn how to prepare fresh tortellini pasta on this tour

Begin your tour in front of Verona joining the guide and head toward the city center. Pop in a cafe to start with the Italian essential, an espresso, paired with a mouthwatering pastry.

Head next to a local workshop for a behind-the-scenes look at how tortellini is made. See how the dough is mixed, rolled and stuffed, and treat your taste buds afterward to some fresh pasta samples.

Then peruse the shelves at a local wine shop as you learn about the region’s wine production. Swirl and sip one of the local varieties, such as Prosecco, Lugana or Valpolicella.

Afterward, sit down to a light lunch at a nearby deli. Savor a traditional Italian spread of salami, Parmesan, prosciutto and other meats and cheeses, followed by a main pasta dish.

Appetites sated, your tour will conclude after lunch.

We thoroughly enjoyed our food walking tour. Our guide Benedetta was delightful, warm, knowledgeable and patient, an absolute fountain of local knowledge about the history and architecture of Verona as well as all aspects of food, wine and la vie Italian. The places we visited were all standout, the pizza, wine and the pasta sections probably most but all memorable. Excellent value for money, truly a highlight of our trip and highly recommended. Thank you Benedetta.

Lots of fun and lots of food! Don't order a latte and expect coffee. In Italy, a latte is just warm milk. However, the owner of the restaurant we visited added a cup of espresso to my latte, and it was exactly what I wanted. Our guide was fun and informative. I love taking food tours when I visit other cities. I always feel I have had a taste of the REAL food a city has to offer and not just tourist food.

We were blessed with being the only two people on the tour. Our Guide was excellent and clearly adapted his talk to suit us. WE talk of this experience with our friends even though a few months ago. Would we repeat it ? most definitely Yes

This was a brilliant introduction to Verona. Benedicta met us only 2 of us and took us to a variety of eating places where she explained about the foods. She had chosen the most authentic shops and cafes and was extremely knowledgeable about Verona. I would strongly recommend this tour.

Our food tour of Verona was a highlight of our visit. Guide Sara was excellent in not only sharing the many tastes of the city, but also answered all our questions and shared a wealth of information about the area. We could not have been more pleased, and the gelato was the best we tried in Italy. I highly recommended this activity if you are visiting Verona.

What a lovely three hours we spent with Sara in Verona. My husband and I were the only two on the tour so it was very personal. Sara had great knowledge of the city, the food and the wine. She knew all the shopkeepers personally and introduced us along the way. Nice variety of food, just a lot to eat in three hours! But the selections of eateries was good. Everything was delicious!

The tour was great! I can and #39;t remember the name of our tour guide but she took us to some lovely and unique food places, while also providing great suggestions for other sights to see and restaurants. She was born in Verona and gave us great insights into the Italian culture!
