This was a brilliant introduction to Verona. Benedicta met us only 2 of us and took us to a variety of eating places where she explained about the foods. She had chosen the most authentic shops and cafes and was extremely knowledgeable about Verona. I would strongly recommend this tour.
Our food tour of Verona was a highlight of our visit. Guide Sara was excellent in not only sharing the many tastes of the city, but also answered all our questions and shared a wealth of information about the area. We could not have been more pleased, and the gelato was the best we tried in Italy. I highly recommended this activity if you are visiting Verona.
What a lovely three hours we spent with Sara in Verona. My husband and I were the only two on the tour so it was very personal. Sara had great knowledge of the city, the food and the wine. She knew all the shopkeepers personally and introduced us along the way. Nice variety of food, just a lot to eat in three hours! But the selections of eateries was good. Everything was delicious!
I really liked this tour for the food and the social aspect. Sarah was very nice!
The tour was great! I can and #39;t remember the name of our tour guide but she took us to some lovely and unique food places, while also providing great suggestions for other sights to see and restaurants. She was born in Verona and gave us great insights into the Italian culture!
Fantastic experience! Our guide was a so friendly and personable! Would go again!
Great trip. DO NOT have breakfast first you get loads of food. Guide was good I would of liked more info on the history of the food and the city as that was lacking. Good value for money because of so much food.
This was our first day in Italy and it was a wonderful start to our holiday. Michel was a superb guide and was very knowledgable about the area and local food. We would suggest not having breakfast as the food is very plentiful.
Michel was an unbelievable tour guide. He was down to earth and passionate about Verona and about food/wine. I wish I could have completed this tour two more times!!! The pace was good. The food..well I'm still thinking about the food choices we sampled. I loved helping to make tortelloni! TAKE THIS TOUR if you are ever in Verona.
My husband, cousin and I stopped in Verona on our way to Venice. While in Verona, I planned for us to do a walking food tour and I'm so glad!
We had an excellent guide named Michele and he was more than accommodating by answering all of our questions. Fortunately, it was only my husband, cousin and I that day for our group so we got try places big groups were not able to. The best part about the tour was being thought how to make Tortellino at a local shop that produces freshly made yumminess everyday!
They are new food tour company and with their knowledge of that city and the local cuisine, I would not be surprise if they expand in the years to come. Gratzie mille, Michele!
We loved this tour! My husband and I ended up being the only ones on the tour so we had a personal guide. We loved Thomas, he was very nice and informative. He took us to four different restaurants and educated us on the best things to order. We were stuffed by the end!
Had a wonderful morning walking around Verona, stopping off at some incredible places for food. It really did feel like we were being shown the best of Verona's hidden gems. Our guide for the day was exceptionally helpful, spoke perfect English and demonstrated great knowledge of the places we went. We will absolutely be using Viator on our next trip away.
We had a really good insite in how Verona lives and eats. The food was excellent ,the guide was knowledgeable and the tour was informative.
Excellent tour. Lots of info , friendly staff, excellent food !!! A very enjoyable day. Would recommend it...
Benedicta was a lovely hostess relaxed and friendly, just our party and another couple made for a relaxing and very personal experience. The tour did cover the majority of the historic centre and covered the main places of interest with sufficient time for information, take pics etc.. Our hostess as a local was incredibly knowledgable and passionate about her home city. All the food stops included were superb examples of local food and wine, we felt pretty full afterwards so would report this as excellent value and a great introduction to Verona.
One of the most relaxing and enjoyable tours I have booked. My husband and I were the only two people scheduled that morning, so we were easily able to personalize our questions and discussions. Bernadette, our guide, was wonderful. She was friendly, knowledgeable about the history, excited/proud of her hometown, and made terrific food and wine recommendations. It was like having a friend lead us on a tour around the city. We thoroughly enjoyed each food stop, especially the tortellini shop! I highly recommend this terrific tour when visiting beautiful Verona.
This tour in Verona was just fantastic..with our small group our guide showed us his town ...we walked, listened to some history, ate, laughed, drank, watched and then tasted in amazement at the local delicacies...do this tour at the start of your stay in Verona!
My partner and I had an absolutely wonderful experience on the Verona Food Walking Tour in March/15. It was my first visit to Verona and a perfect introduction to this beautiful city. We happened to be the only ones on the tour that day so were lucky enough to receive Michele's personal attention as we ate and drank our way through the city until the early afternoon, as he pointed out the popular as well as some of the lesser known points of interest. He was fun, friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the city and its food and wine. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Verona, and particularly food and wine enthusiasts. Thank you Michele for such a fun and memorable experience. We will definitely be back again.
Bernadette our guide was wonderful. She was on time. Knowledgeable. We walked, she pointed out buildings of interest. We stopped at a bakery, had coffee and sampled two different local pastries of the area. We continued walking, saw Juliet.s balcony, and then stopped at local cafe for a "spritz" and several local appetizers. Then it was on to a wine tasting ( local white wine and Ammarone) followed by lunch. We learned about St. Lucia day. It could not have been more enjoyable. Would highly recommend if one likes to eat, drink, and walk.
We were fortunate that a larger group had cancelled, so we had the very knowledgeable Sara all to ourselves. We were able to stop at any point along the route to get more information on the architecture, customs, or food. The highlight of the tour was the pasta factory where fresh pasta is made to service most of the restaurants of Verona. Watching the deft fingers make tortellini was good, eating an assortment of tortelloni was even better! Ah, Amarone wine at 11:30 --- the breakfast of champions!
Tour was excellent. Mike the guide was pretty cool. Food was great however would be better if could go to a few other places and sights
The tour guide was super nice and even offered recommendations for what to do after the tour. There was a great balance of history, walking, and food. I especially enjoyed the urban legends! I would definitely recommend doing this tour. Perhaps it might be nice if we were offered some more choices about which places we would like to go to, but it was also fun to just be along for the ride.
