5 star rating: Highly Recommended September 2016

This tour went super smooth. We met up at the Tour office across from the train station and were walked directly into Versailles. If you wanted, you could get an audio tour set but we chose not to as this was not our first visit. Our tour was at 12:30pm and when we arrived there really was no line, so did we need skip the line...probably not but I have waited over 2 hours in the blazing heat in the past. For me, this was worth taking the chance.

Nothing like skipping a MASSIVE line! This was a great way to get into Versailles without any worries. This comes with an audio tour that does a very good job of immersing you in the history of the chateau, but it ultimately left me wanting more information about the extensive gardens and surrounding areas. Still, it's a great, cost-effective way to dive in!

If you don't skip the line at Versailles, you'll end up waiting hours in the heat with no place to sit. Highly recommended.

The ticket counter was easy to find from the train station and the convenience of just walking in inside the palace without having to stand in line just to purchase tickets was well worth it.

2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better September 2016

We definitely skipped the line... which was great!

However Versailles is so busy and crowded, it's not worth seeing.
The palace needs some major updates

It's very crowded, but skipping the line is the only way to go.

1 star rating: I do not recommend this August 2016

Wow. I should've believed the reviews. There truly is NO SKIP THE LINE deal! Even the reps that work there are pissed off!

1 star rating: I do not recommend this August 2016

Paid extra for the skip the line option, only to be told at Versailles that skip the line does not exist! As this was at the beginning of August, the line was enormous. Took 2 hours queuing in a snake up and down the courtyard, even had time to send some of us to McD for burgers which we ate in the queue. Quite tired by the time we started the tour and the palace is huge. Got out of the palace to go to the gardens only to find out there is an admission fee for those too. Gave up at that point and went back to the hotel. Very poor experience, would not recommend.
