Viator Traveler's Reviews

This was a full day of activities, but everything was arranged wonderfully. We appreciated all of our tour guides. The only negative was that we did not see any elephants on the river cruise.
We booked our tour on line with Viator - Tamuka Travel . When we arrived at the Victoria Falls Lodge, they confirmed our accommodations and Brighton came to meet us in the lobby to confirm our plans for the next day. In the morning, there was a van that was waiting for us and then Brighton arrived shortly after that. Apparently this other guide was taking us on safari in the Zambezi State Park. The guide was very nice and knowledgeable with a good eye to spot the variety animals. The vehicle was a bit old and squeaky and the spare tire slid to the front of where we were sitting. There must have been mosquitos in it because my legs gotten really badly bitten. We stopped along the river for a picnic of coffee and light snacks which was very nice. After the safari, Brighton then took us to the tour office and left us there for about 1/2 hour while he went to pick up other tourists. He suggested we do some shopping across the street. The prices were unreasonable and so we just went back to the tour office and waited for Brighton. When he arrived there were no other tourists joining us.
Lunch at the Outlook Cafe was fabulous and we got a great view of people zip lining across the gorge. Brighton got us a table and then left to do some work. Lunch was included, but not the drinks/ cocktails. We went on the tour of Victoria Falls Park and needed to keep asking Brighton questions to get the story of the area Dr Livington Statue, History of the Falls, etc. He seemed to be distracted by his mobile phone. Note that the entry fees to any of the tours or parks are not included in the 180 tour price. We paid in cash and Brighton did not have change, so he ended up owing my friend 5. This was more annoying that a big deal. After the Falls tour we returned to the lodge to freshen up before the sunset cruise. The Lodge called the tour for us because the Viator- Tamuka Travel transportation was late. They arrived about 20 minutes after the lodge called. Brighton did not pick us up. It was another driver who was very nice. We later found out from other people on the sunset cruise, that we had been forgotten. We were fortunate to be staying at the Victoria Falls Safari lodge where they were always checking on our accommodations for us. The sunset cruise was fantastic and beautiful. I would suggest that the different activity transitions for this tour could have been better facilitated and managed. Also, bring exact change for the park entrance fees.
