Good tour. Well organized. However, be aware the shedule is really really demanding and you won't have much time to hang around. As a result, I would seriously not recommend this tour to older folks, people with young children or disabilities. Hotels were good.
A few things that could be improved though: offer first class option for the train, avoid the unncessary trip in Budapest to the hotel somewhere downtown for taxi pick up but have it sent straight to the hotel customers are staying at. Also, when arriving in Budapest, if you happen to stay at the Boutique Hotel, avoid taxis outside the train station at all costs. They are all crooks, have no meters in their car and will charge you like 30 euros for a ride that should not exceed 5. Take the subway instead, the hotel is only 3 stops away.

being a solo traveler, initially i was quite skeptical about choosing this rail tour as i would have usually preferred to join a group tour... finally i'm glad to say, no regrets at all! turned out to be a really enjoyable and flexible trip though you need to be well organized with your own planning and time management. i've managed to optimize the entire trip by adding on other day tours such as bratislava from vienna and cesky krumlov from prague. the hotels selected are pretty centrally located or near a metro station so it's super convenient to move about.
i'm particularly pleased with the hotel in prague with a special mention: Angelo by Vienna House Prague, because when i returned home, i realized i've left my ipod at the hotel. thinking it was probably gone with the wind, after a couple of days i half heartedly tried my luck by writing the hotel to help double check the room. to my pleasant surprise, they found it and even suggested to post it back to me free of charge! i received it eventually, along with a nice note and little gift. really appreciate their gesture and i'll surely stay in the same hotel again in my next visit!

This is an excellent tour to give an insight into these three treasures of old Europe. One could easily spend one week exploring each of the cities, but with limited time the excellent half day tours provided all the highlights that we expected to find and enjoy. we made use of the metro rail systems in each city to maximise our ability to move around and find the best places to explore by foot. All offer 24 hour tickets and Vienna offers 48/72 hour tickets as well. All hotels provided were excellent. Rail travel was easy and comfortable, but as we tried to pick up extra time by booking a connection, which we missed due to delays for trackwork and ended up on the alternative later direct train anyway. Not an issue as we had a chance to look around the area at the connecting station.

Overall a very good tour. The only problem is the Delta hotel in Vienna was not in very good condition even though the location is right next to the train station. The hotel room does not have a good sound proof, so it's very noise at the night, can not sleep well.
