Fantastic! My family and I are not huge classical fans but these musician were extremely talented and it was wonderful to watch them play up close. We prefer smaller venues with more intimate experiences and we definitely got that. It is pricey but the talent was worth it.
Even if you're not a classical music fan, it's worth doing one small concert while in Vienna, the city of music. SalaTerrena is s a gem of a venue and the concert is not overly long. It's touristy, given the period costumes, and bit pricey, but we really enjoyed it. We went to the Opera another evening --spectacular!! I would suggest doing both.
This was a highlight of our Vienna trip! The concert setting is small and intimate and beautifully decorated, floor to ceiling. The musicians were exceptional! The lead violinist was so passionate in her playing, it was invigorating! A great choice for anyone who would like a taste of highest quality Mozart and Haydn
A very unusual and charming evening at a historical site. Small, intimate group and good Mozart music - all you could wish for. Peter M.
This is the second time I have attended this concert, and it was magical both times !
What a wonderful way to experience some classical music including Mozart. It was an intimate, special evening, and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Highly recommended.
Excellent! Great performance! Front row seats too! A bit warm inside though - it was a hot day in Vienna.
This was a beautiful venue and the musicians were very experienced and good, quite expensive at 59 each for less than 1.5 hours but this an expensive city and the value of the euro isn't great for us right now. My slight niggle would be that there was no indication that we had been allocated seats so we rushed out supper down thinking we had to get there early as it was free seating in the individual category of the seats. The booth was closed during the day so we couldn't check it out. We got there 40 minutes early to find we had been allocated seats. I hate all this free seating malarkey. Overall a wonderful Vienesse experience and apparently the onsite accommodation is great according to the lady sitting next to me. It is a very small room so it's not difficult to hear but I sifted to the front row in a empty seat for the second half, it made it extra special. Definitely would recommend and go again.

A wonderful historic and intimate concert. A must if you want a true taste of 18th century Vienna. I can't recommend more highly.
When visiting Vienna, you need to listen to music. It's part of the history and culture. I recommend the Mozarthaus Concert in Vienna at Sala Terrena because it's such a unique setting and they cover the music of the greats! It's a perfect way to end an evening in Vienna!

Wonderful musicians, wonderful setting. The Sala is really quite small, which was interesting in and of itself. Even by Vienna's very high standards, these musicians were excellent.
Fantastic experience, would highly recommend. Amazing concert room, great quartet. Loved it. Only criticism was that it was a little tricky to find. You have to go through the big archway signed No.7, go into a cobbled yard that looks residential and then in an opening on your left is a little sign marked Mozarthaus. We went to look ahead of the concert and struggled to find althoughit was more obvious at 6pm when the concert was due to start. There is another Mozarthaus but they couldnt tell us where this one was!
A great musical experience! World class musicians and perfect organization!
We were absolutely delighted with this concert. The venue was intimate and breathtaking, and the musicians performed beautifully. The acoustics were wonderful. We were so happy we chose this venue instead of one of the large, touristy concert halls. A!
concert was very good but at intermission they charged 2 per small GLASS of water!!
A fascinating, unusual evening which we enjoyed very much. The location is very small, more the size of a drawing room than a concert hall, and conditions were definitely cosy. The musicians were excellent, though the main attraction for us was the unique experience of listening to music in the very room in which Mozart composed and played his works over a period of about two years. The elaborately frescoed décor of the room has not changed since Mozart was there. At the time of our visit the building was undergoing some renovation to the frontage and the exact location was not clear, but this problem has no doubt now disappeared. Facilities at the interval were village fair style, i.e. fruit juice and wine available from a trestle table in the passageway outside the concert room. If you enjoy classical music and something a little different then you will probably appreciate this event. Please note there is more than one Mozarthaus in Vienna, so make sure you go to the right one.
Relied on other reviews to select this particular concert. Venue attractive and welcome pleasant. We had two top-range tockets and two student/youth tickets open seating - the latter were seatd right at the back in an alcove but the view was okay as our sons are quite tall.
Programme was reasonable with quartets from Mozart and other composers of the same period, and the players certainly looked that part in their psuedo-period costume.
The experience was let down however by the performance itself. I don't know how many concerts this group plays each week, but the playing was somehwat unfeeling and at times it was as if the group were on autopilot. On occasions the theatricality of the bowing flourishes interfered with the quality of the music - especially the cellist who repeatedly caught her bottom string causing a jarring dissonance. Some passages felt rushed perhaps because there was another performacne in 90 minutes? and overall we were disappointed after the hour-long concert.
Definitely one more for the tourists.
