After relaxing with an elegant meal, head to the Orangery Schonbrunn to hear the Schonbrunn Palace Orchestra perform renowned works from Strauss and Mozart.

The concert will open with Mozart’s most prominent arias and duets, such as 'Don Giovanni,' 'Le Nozze di Figaro' and 'Die Zauberflote.' Afterward, enjoy some of Strauss’ most popular operetta arias and waltzes, including the famous 'Radetzkymarsch,' 'Die Fledermaus' and 'The Blue Danube.' Two ballet dancers and two opera singers, a soprano and a baritone, will accompany the orchestra.

After enjoying fine dining, music and culture, your evening will conclude after the concert.

Dinner was OK, not the meat, but the ambiance was so perfect and also the concert was enjoyable, even my two teenagers did enjoy it. Made our night memorable, and the acoustic in Le Orangerie was actually pretty good

We really enjoyed this evening out.
Our dinner was served in Cafe Restaurant Residenz I understand location can vary. Don't let the word Cafe put you off, although small, it is opulent inside with: gilt, chandeliers, artwork and attentive service. Food was pleasant, not exciting, but competent, Viennese cuisine the menu was exactly as published on the website. I personally enjoyed feeling that I was dining at an Imperial Palace. Oddly, some other reviewers seemed to feel that everything should actually be in a royal stateroom, but I think that's a bit naive.
The concert in the Orangerie was excellent, a small troup comprising Chamber Orchestra, two Opera singers and two ballet dancers. Inevitably the program was Mozart and Strauss, and you'll recognize many pieces.
As other reviewers have mentioned: there could be some long walks involved, dinner is quite a long distance from the concert. Especially if you make the mistake of going to the wrong location first. TIP: the map and signs at the U-bahn point to the wrong ticket office, and by the time you get there in the evening this is occupied by a solitary cleaner. The actual concert ticket office is just opposite the station and not well marked but is described exactly on the reservation.
Inevitably, you are going to arrive early. Rather than just hanging about, we made an advantage of this by arriving even earlier and going for a walk in the extensive gardens all free. The only challenge with this is finding a route that gets you to the right place: look carefully at the map - a wrong turn can be about a 1 km detour, this place is huge!

Loved it! The concert was great and so was the dinner. One advice, make sure to arrive at the palace the latest by 1 pm. We arrived by 4 pm and we're not able to see the palace . However, the staff arranged for us to see it the following day.

Food very good and restaurant and staff excellent. Concert was superb. Tickets for meal and concert have to be picked up at Orangery office with online voucher prior to dinner. This had not been explained on the voucher. Not a major inconvenience as office opposite Underground exit.

Dinner was very good, concert was ok. Comparing the concert at the Orangerie and the Musikverein concert, I would say the Musikverein was better. The singers and dancers were good and the orchestra played very well.
The seats are very close to each other, and everything was full.We had seating A, closer to the orchestra so it was nice.
We enjoyed it overall.
