Overview

Experience an evening of Viennese culture with a dinner and concert at the Schonbrunn Palace. Begin at the nearby Café Restaurant Residenz for an elegant, 3-course dinner by candlelight. Afterward, head inside the Orangery Schonbrunn to hear the Schonbrunn Palace Orchestra play works from Mozart and Strauss. Soak up classical melodies in the stunning baroque palace, once home to the imperial family and now one of the most renowned music venues in the world. Upgrade to a VIP ticket to enjoy sparkling wine at intermission.
  • Schonbrunn Palace Orchestra concert at Orangerie Schonbrunn
  • 3-course dinner before the concert
  • Listen to renowned Viennese musicians playing Mozart and Strauss
  • Choose from four different seating options
  • VIP tickets include a glass of sparkling wine during intermission
Begin your evening with a 3-course dinner by candlelight at Café Restaurant Residenz, adjacent to the palace's main entrance. In the summer months, enjoy your meal outdoors in the garden. (A sample menu can be found in the Itinerary section below.) Please advise vegetarian preferences at the time of booking.

After relaxing with an elegant meal, head to the Orangery Schonbrunn to hear the Schonbrunn Palace Orchestra perform renowned works from Strauss and Mozart.

Settle into your seat in the splendid music hall. Should you choose to upgrade with the VIP ticket, enjoy priority seating and a glass of sparkling wine during the intermission.

The concert opens with Mozart’s most prominent arias and duets, such as 'Don Giovanni,' 'Le Nozze di Figaro' and 'Die Zauberflote.' Afterward, enjoy some of Strauss’ most popular operetta arias and waltzes, including the famous 'Radetzkymarsch,' 'Die Fledermaus' and 'The Blue Danube.' Two ballet dancers and two opera singers, a soprano and a baritone, accompany the orchestra.

After enjoying fine dining, music, and culture, your evening concludes after the concert.

Likely to Sell-out! The Schonbrunn Palace Evening Dinner and Concert regularly sells out weeks in advance. Book ahead of time to avoid disappointment.

The restaurant staff were very helpful and the food was delicious. The performances were excellent and very entertaining. Pity there was such a long walk in the cold between venues.

It was an extremely fun and entertaining evening, and the VIP package was well worth the price. The dinner was lovely, although it was quite a bit of a walk between the restaurant and the Orangerie.

Music trumps meal

The orchestra were as expected excellent and the concert was very enjoyable with some singing and dancing included. Given the quality of the show it was a little disappointing that the meal beforehand did not reach the same high standards. It would have been 4/5 for the concert alone. Encourage people to come earlier , enjoy a drink and pre order for the interval.

Excellent dinner prior to concert. The setting in the concert room was stunning and the orchestra were fantastic, an excellent introduction to classical music.

Excellent Evening

All round, this is an excellent "tour" - the food beforehand was delicious and the concert itself was incredible. If you can afford to get the higher priced tickets, these are only really worth it to get a better view of the dancers. But the actual performance does carry through the venue as the acoustics and sound system are well managed.

Missed the dinner

When I booked the dinner and concert, I hadn't factered in a major train delay which disrupted my arrival into Vienna. I tried to ring the venue to ask them if they could hold my meal. When I arrived (half an hour late), they told me that the kitchen had closed and no dinner for me. I was directed to several restaurants across the road where I ordered, ate and still made it back with 20 minutes to spare. Not very helpful staff at the venue. The concert however was wonderful and I would recommend it and would certainly attend in the future if I make it back to Vienna. 0/10 for dinner and 10/10 for the concert

Wonderful evening!

My entire family went to the palace for dinner and a concert; it was excellent!! The only problem was that the entire family could not sit at one table for dinner, which I had asked for. We were split into two groups. It was disappointing because we were celebrating our 50th anniversary.

The Concert was superb. I was afraid...

The Concert was superb. I was afraid the performers would be churning out the same programme for tourists every evening but they were talented, dynamic and full of life. It was over all too quickly. The meal was disappointing. Bland and not especially tasty. Once we added drinks with dinner and a taxi out to the Schonbrunn, this was a very expensive evening. We might have done better to attend Concert only.

Concert was more hilarious than I...

Concert was more hilarious than I guess it should have been. Especially when the dancers arrived!! Was a good experience in a beautiful setting, but the food wasn't up to much, the range of drinks was limited and the concert just ok!
