Great tour!
Andrew_C, Oct 2022
Great tour! Great way to see much of the beautiful architecture in beautiful Vienna! Very easy entry to Schonbrunn Palace and great, personal guided tour.
Perfect Quick Tour!
Gina_M, Nov 2022
The weather was rainy this day so the city tour by bus sounded like the best option and it WAS! Our guide was so knowledgeable and kind and provided lots of useful information and history of Vienna. The bus was comfortable and after the ride around the city we headed to the palace, where our guide gave us the most wonderful tour, timed perfectly and spending the right amount of time in each room. When the tour was finished we had enough time to explore the gardens and the gift shop, then we took a different route on the way back and our guide provided further background on the city. It’s a perfect half day tour and gave me a lot of ideas of places I wanted to explore further on my own.
Good Vienna city tour
ROBYN_T, Oct 2022
Tour was very good, we saw the main points of interest in Vienna even though it was from the coach, our guide was informative. Schonbrunn Palace is beautiful and definitely a must when in Vienna
Enjoyable tour of Vienna and Schonbrunn Palace
Murray_H, Oct 2022
Our tour guide (Thomas?) was excellent. He gave lots of interesting information about Vienna and the Palace, seemed unflappable, and seamlessly transitioned between 3 languages to accommodate the participants on our bus.
Good to see
Randall_V, Sep 2022
Good to see the city while having a guide explain what the buildings were. The palace itself was a bit disappointing- so huge and we were only allowed to see a miniscule portion….
Not English and Not historical
Theresa_C, Aug 2022
Memorable was the fact that the guide barely gave what I would call “historical” city tour - most of his mentions were about the hotels for some reason. (I asked him later if we’d get any more history of Vienna on the way back, to which he said there’s no way to give the full history of Vienna since there’s so much. But a summary would’ve been nice, it really doesn’t matter which is the most recent American hotel built! Also, he spoke 3 languages on the English tour, so we really got 1/3 of his time. When someone asked him if he could speak English since this was booked as English tour, he said it’s not possible since he’s got 3 languages he’s got to cover. This was our 4 Viator Tour for this 3 week trip across 5 countries in Europe and they all were exceptional except this one - it didn’t even come close to the same standards as the others. Not Viator quality in my opinion!

Nice Tour with Knowledgeable Guide

We enjoyed the palace tour and were given ample free time to roam the grounds after. We were a little disappointed it wasn't an English language only tour.

The tour guide was excellent. She gave a clear history of the attractions in Vienna. She explained very well each room’s history of the Schonbrunn Palace.
Good Summary Trip for Vienna and Schönbrunn
telder1988, Aug 2019
My wife and I had only one day in Vienna, and we wanted to see Schönbrunn and as much of Vienna as possible, so we booked this trip for expediency and as a summary. It was confusing to find the start point of the tour as we could not identify the landmark in the booking, so we circled the opera house until we found a large group of people. There could be some clarity there. The guide spoke excellent English and was very entertaining on the tour. We got to see and learn so much about Vienna in a short time and then we went to Schönbrunn, where we were able to walk right in as advertised. The visit is quite short, and I would rather have had more time, but it was great for our timeline. The palace is beautiful, and I would recommend a visit in some way if you are in or near Vienna. I recommend this trip as a quick way to see Vienna, but, if you have more time, I would recommend looking to alternatives for more time at Schönbrunn.
I fully recommend

I was pleasantly surprised when the bus driver took us first to main parts of Vienna, and we also had a presentation of the attractions there. The guide had a very well knowledge of the attraction and the castle, had a very pleasant way of explaining and also spoke very good English. We also had free time at the castle and we avoided the line how the name says it.
Enjoyable experience
Douglas_D, Jul 2018
It was what we expected. The guide was professional and informative. The tour ran on time with adequate time on our own to visit the exterior of the Palace. The only thing I would say is that we were led to believe this site was very difficult to see without a tour or the Vienna pass. It was high season but I don't think we would have had too much trouble getting it. If you do not do this tour I would suggest the electronic audio guide.

With my interest historical the visit to the Shonbrunn Palace was indeed wonderful despite it being a rainy day. I would have liked this tour to include the Belvedere as well. This tour gives you a broad idea of Vienna prompting you to investigate further its many historical attractions. Highly recommended.

An excellent tour to start your stay in Vienna as it definitely enables you to gain an understanding of the city's layout and location of key attractions. The Schonbrunn Palace is spectacular and even more so with the insights of your knowledgeable guide.

Thomas W, Sep 2017
The complementary pick-up service from the hotel was brilliant, very efficient and organised. You transfer to a larger bus with a guide who speaks English and Italian. Very interesting tour of Vienna and then on to the Schonbrunn Palace. The tour was very informative, but sadly over too quickly as the number of rooms you can go in is limited, but they are all extraordinarily beautiful. I would have liked to have spent more time in the Palace Gardens which are extensive. The flower beds, the fountains, the hedges, not enough time to see the Palm House, Gloriette, or Roman ruins. We could have done with an extra 45-60 minutes to explore. Other than that, a most enjoyable tour.

Yelena_Z, Oct 2017
This was very nice tour, weve seen all the major sights in the Vienna and I really enjoyed walking tour of Schönbrunn Palace. The only problem I have with organization of this tour and some other tours in Vienna, that our guide was repeating each topic four times in four different languages. I chose the tour in English and expected to be in English only. Its very distracting to listen to the same information four times. I think something should change with this practice. And only because of this I give this tour lower rating, otherwise the tour was great!

We met the guide at the bus terminal. We had an bus ride around Vienna giving us an overview before going to the Palace. The same excellent guide walked us through the Palace, and we had time to look around the gardens on our own.The guide gave sufficient information to be interesting, and added some humour. We felt able to wander around the inner city on our own to see more sights inaccesible by bus.
