We had planned a trip to Prague and Budapest but friends recommended a stop in Vienna to see the sites but we really didn’t know what exactly to see so we booked this trip. Wolfgang was awesome! He treated us with respect and made us feel like VIPs or personal friends as he went about showing us his great city filling it with rich historical facts without making anything dry or boring. He made history come alive sharing details about the buildings around us and the people that once lived there. If you are interested in seeing Vienna but not really sure what to see I highly recommend booking this tour and if you are lucky you will get Wolfgang as your guide!

A wonderful overview of Vienna’s history and key sights which she tailored for us as it ended up only being the two of us on the tour. Our guide was very good company too and imparted good local knowledge along the way.

Ilsa was terrific, knowledgeable, and has a great sense of humor. Money well spent! My wife was sick and couldn't go but I had a terrific intellectual time. Sometimes very sad, as she pointed out the heartbreaking memorials of the civilians killed by the Allieds when the bombing took out the Opera House and an underground bomb shelter. This is a Don't Miss.

Great Historical Tour of Vienna

This was a great tour. We enjoyed the history along with the anecdotes about various elements of Austrian and Viennese history like the kidnapping of Richard the Lion Hearted. In addition we were given some restaurant recommendations which were excellent. This was our best walking tour by far on our trip across Europe. I would highly recommend it.

Katarina was lovely, knowledgeable and an animated story teller. Despite the cold weather, she kept out attention! The tour went by in a minute we were so involved in the tour. She was also quite interactive and encouraged questions. It’s clear she is a knowledgeable historian and loves her beautiful city!

Our guide, Katarina, was personable, knowledgeable, and attentive. She shared her experiences about living in Vienna as well as her family’s history in the city. And her understanding of the city’s history goes deep and wide, from the Roman times to present, from art and music to housing and everyday life. She was especially accommodating because one member spoke Spanish and a little English so she spoke clearly and slowly to him. We’ll arrange another tour with her next we’re in Vienna! She’s truly exceptional!

I ended up being the only person on the tour with Annelie Pichler. It was AMAZING. I can't speak highly enough of my time with her. I recommend everyone take her tour. It's one of the most enjoyable ones I've gone on. She is incredibly knowledgeable, great personality, and took me to the famous and secret places in Vienna. Definitely take this tour.

We were very lucky to have had booked this tour, we were the only couple. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and very proud of her City. She took us to places larger tours couldn't go and discussed the significance of places to the history.
