Vienna by Night: Evening City Tour Including Wiener Riesenrad Ferris Wheel

Enjoy the ride with Giant Ferris Wheel!

Your night tour will begin near Kursalon Wien or with pickup from your hotel in central Vienna. Join up with your guide and drive along the evening-lit streets of the Austrian capital.

Head first to the famous Ringstrasse, the former heart of the Habsburg Empire and now strung with the city’s most significant landmarks, including the Imperial Palace and City Hall. Learn fascinating anecdotes and bits of history as you go, hopping out when you reach Prater Park. There, step aboard the historic Wiener Riesenrad, one of the world’s oldest ferris wheels. In operation since the late 1800s, soak up views over Vienna as you soar 212 feet (65 meters) high.

After returning back down to earth, take a drive to Grinzing, a funky area known for its heurigen. Continue your evening inside one of the taverns for a glass of wine and relax with cozy ambiance and Viennese music.

Your tour will conclude with drop-off back at your hotel. You can also stay inside the tavern to sample more wine at your own expense.

There were only two couples on this tour including us which made the tour a little more intimate. Obviously, the tour guide spend a lot of time with us and answered all our questions. The wine at the end of the tour and the restaurant with the violinist and accordion player were surely a highlight of this tour. They played any song we wanted, in english or otherwise. Great tour!

European cities are lit up for the night time. Very good view of Vienna from the tower. Dinner was excellent.

The tour was informative and fun. The view from the Danube Tower was worth the tour in itself, however, the evening in Grinzing was lots of fun, the food was great and the entertainment was great. The DVD on Vienna I purchased from the tour guide was excellent. I would recommend this tour as well to family and friends.

The visit to the wine farm's wine bars and restaurants at the end was the highlight of the evening. The guide was very accommodating and interesting.

I was a little disapointed that our bus had blacked out windows, which meant that taking photo's was not possible, but the guide and driver were very good and the visit to the Heuriger Bach-Hengl was lovely.
