Meet up with your guide in a central location and climb aboard the train to Krems and arrive in the Wachau Valley, famous for its striking landscape, top wines and agriculture.

Strap on your helmet and hop on your bike for a relaxing 14-mile (23-km) ride. Take in the fresh air and learn about the region’s history from your guide as you pedal through a gorgeous pastoral backdrop.

Pull over at two or three wineries along your route to kick back with a local wine tasting. You’ll also have the chance to try the Wachau Valley’s celebrated liqueur.

Continue to the UNESCO-listed village of Dürnstein to wander for a bit on your own. Here you’ll find the ruins of Kuenringer Castle, where King Richard the Lionheart was famously held captive in the 12th century.

Reunite with your guide for a final visit to a family-run winery. Purchase a lunch served in a typical family run restaurant (sample menu available in the Itinerary) or bring your own lunch, if you prefer to do so . Afterward, relax by the Danube River, playing a round of beach volleyball or taking a cool dip.

Your trip will conclude with a brief cruise across the Danube. Then hop aboard the train and travel back to Vienna.

This was the highlight of our entire trip to Eastern Europe. It was SOOO much fun. We laughed, drank, ate and rode. The biking was not strenuous. Our guide took the time to know each of us and was extremely knowledgeable about the country side we rode through. We stopped at really cool wineries learned about and tasted many wines. We would absolutely recommend this tour!!

My wife and I had a great time on this excursion from Vienna. The ride was easy with several stops, wine tasting was fun and the views were absolutely beautiful.

The valley is crazy beautiful. The ride itself was easy and the bikes pretty nice. Our guide was outstanding and gave us information about the area along the way. The wines were ok. For me, it was more about the bike ride. Would do it again!

This was very beautiful and such a cool experience. It was extremely hot like 98 F the day we took the tour so that might have been part of it but the distance on the bike was much farther than I expected. There is an optional hike for one part that is also pretty strenuous. On our way back I was so ready for it to be over because you basically do all the cool stuff and tastings on the way there and just ride all the way back. I would do it again though I just wish I knew ahead of time what I was in for. Our tour guide was awesome and so was our group.

Giovanni was so much fun as a tour guide. Very knowledgable, easy-going, and helpful. The Wachau Valley bike tour was simply gorgeous in the fall, even with a little rain. A must see, even if you're in town only for a few days.

Was the Hi-light to my trip in Vienna. Giovanni was very knowledgeable and loved the fact he took us to Private Wine Cellars along the route.
My only suggestion....tour group should ask individuals if they have biked in the last 3 months.

Personal and close up. We biked the river, stopped at quaint wineries and had a great small group.
