Best tour i've ever been too! Great tour guide and really one of a kind experience! Highly recommended!
Giovanni was so much fun as a tour guide. Very knowledgable, easy-going, and helpful. The Wachau Valley bike tour was simply gorgeous in the fall, even with a little rain. A must see, even if you're in town only for a few days.
The tour was perfect! Beutiful train ride on the country side, super fun bike ridding, excelent wines, great food, and the place is just spectacular! Our tour guide Givoani was super fun to hang with. This tour is a must if you go to Vienna!
What a fun tour! We had a small group of just 6 of us and the guide and the biking was so peaceful and beautiful. We biked roughly 20 miles but it felt so easy! Our guide, G, was wonderful. He kept a steady pace and recommended we hike up to King Richard the Lionheart's cell at one of the first stops which was such a cool view of the valley so you should definitely do this as well. I bought a couple bottles of wine to take home as well and the bikes come equipped with baskets so you don't have to worry about carrying. We were able to stop and dip in the Danube for a moment and lunch was delicious. No negatives to report, highly recommend booking this tour!
This was an excellent way to spend a day in Vienna and explore the countryside. The small villages were extremely picturesque.
lots of fun. while you could possibly do this trip on your own, the folks at Pedal Power do it right and make it most enjoyable. highky recommended
Fantastic tour. Tour starts in city with a quick underground train ride before taking a train for 50mins into countryside.
From here the bikes were collected and the stunning scenery opens up cycling through the vineyards. We didnt cycle more than 30mins at any one time so the ride never felt hard.
Tour was excellent. Marla was great guide and very helpful. For me it was more about the scenery, the hike up to the fort and the bike ride. You try 3 wines at 2 different places.
Can't speak highly enough about this wine tour. It was just the right amount of biking, great food for lunch, a nice atmosphere, amazing selection of wine, and a fabulous tour guide. Would recommend to anyone wanting to drink wine, get out of Vienna, or just looking for some nice scenery.
One of my favorite tours we did! The views in the Wachau Valley are amazing! Our tour guide provided a great time for our group! Highly recommended
We really enjoyed this trip, beautiful scenery, easy cycling and lovely wines! Christine looked after us all very well and it was a very friendly and fun experience.
Tour was absolutely amazing, guide Poorick was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Received a substantial volume of wine through almost a dozen tastings. Bikes were modern and clean and the ride was quite pleasant.
So much fun!! Would highly recommend. Our guide, Giovanni, was wonderful and it was one of the highlights of our time in Vienna.
An absolute winner , one of the highlights of a great holiday. Our tour guide was wonderful, met some lovely people on the tour and both the bike ride and the wine tasting great. It is however 11 hours from start to finish, probably an hour shorter would have been good.
Our tour guide "Ace" was the best guide we and #39;ve ever had on any vacation. Friendly, enthusiastic, informed, fun, and always with guests in mind. Our group enjoyed a lovely day together and it was amazing. The views, the bike path, the wine tasting, the lunch, the swimming break, ALL delightful.
So enjoyed this trip! Everything was very well organised and Mala was an excellent guide - friendly, knowledgeable and fun. It is such a beautiful area , we had a lovely group of people, the cycling was very manageable and it was a great experience and we can highly recommend it.
This was the best tour we did in Vienna. Riding along the Danube, riding through vineyards and small villages was amazing.
Wine tasting, walking up to the old castle that held King Richard. It was the best trip. Don't be put off if you think you can't cycle the trip. The pace is easy and the trip was very flat.
Our guide, she was so helpful and guided us the whole way.
I thoroughly recommend this tour. We absolutely loved it!!
Highly recommend. A great value opportunity to see this unique scenic organic wine region on the Danube River. It features history on King Richard and the Napoleonic Wars. The wine available was great. Our guide, Marla, was fun, personable and had strong knowledge of wine tasting and the region.
Probably the highlight of our European tour. After a 30-45 minute train ride from Vienna included in the tour cost the bike tour started in Krems and looped through the Wachau Valley with stops at Durnstein and Spitz. Tasted several local wines and had lunch at Durnstein. Crossed the Danube at Spitz via ferry and rode back toward Krems with a stop to take a dip in the Danube! The ride was about 15 miles through glorious scenery along the Danube and took about 6 hours from the time we left and returned to Krems. The guide was excellent and the ride was quite easy and fairly flat, If you are spending any time at all in Vienna we would enthusiastically recommend this tour!
I would recommend this to anyone who wants to do something active and fun outdoors on vacation. Our guide was very knowledgable on the history of the area and was funny as well! The ride was a great way to see the area, try some great wines and see a few nice little villages. Really enjoyed getting to stop and hike up to the old castle ruins as well as the stop when we got to get in the Danube river and cool off. Very memorable day and one of the best of my two week vacation!
I highly recommend this tour. We spent a wonderful day with Marla, our knowledgeable and personable guide. The bikes are of great quality making it easy for all cyclists young and old, plus it's flat terrain all the way ! The scenery is gorgeous and we tasted up to 7 local wines. Even after a very full day you will feel pleasantly relaxed. Departure from city center and return at 7pm. Our guide was a joy to be with and filled us in on the local culture and history of winemaking in the Wachau. Worth every cent and every minute!
One of my favorite tours, DEFINITELY do it if you have an extra day in Vienna! It really does take the full day since you will be taking a train to Krems, and then biking from that town thru beautiful little villages along the Danube River. The sights are amazing as you bike through the vineyards, and you'll be wishing you brought a Go Pro. After visiting the first winery, you have the option to hike up a short, steep trail to the ruins of where Richard Lionheart was held captive in Durnstein. Highly recommended as you can get a panoramic view of the village and surrounding vineyards. You can either eat lunch at a family-owned restaurant or bring your own lunch. Overall, the biking is on very flat terrain and very easy. It's a small group tour so you really get to know the other tour members - so much fun!
Our guide was hilarious and so nice! Actually still friends with him on facebook, a year and a half later. Great great experience with a lot to see and delicious wine. Try the apricot schnopps!!
I have traveled a lot through Europe over the past few years and this tour was the seriously one of the most memorable things I've ever done. Everything was so beautiful, I highly recommend!
