Fantastic guide and lovely day trip. Perfect amount of time to see the site, great opportunity to try authentic Lithuania food at a local restaurant. Could not recommend enough!
Me and my friend went on this trip this weekend and had a wonderful time. The guide was very knowledgeable and pointed out things along the road as well as telling us all about the history of the places we went to.
We highly recommend this trip!!!
I thought it was great. The Hill of Crosses is the of course the point of the trip, but we also stopped in a beautiful forest with numerous wooden crosses and were told of the bravery of amazing people and priests.
Very interesting tour but a very long journey to reach destination -- approximately 3 hours each way 8-9 hour trip but still worth going
The day tour to the Hill of Crosses is a very special one. The place is amazing and this option is something I highly recommend. Our guide Inga is very friendly, knowledgeable and sharing a lot of interesting information. Additionally she is a great driver which for this tour is very important.
I booked the tour for another day and it was going to be cancelled as I was the only one who had booked it. The company organizing the tour did an excellent job as there was another traveller who had booked the tour for another close day which for me was not possible. So they communicated with both of us and found a solution to arrange the tour on a date both of us can do it. A big thank you for the organization and for the wonderful guide Inga!
I had a good day. My guide told me a lot of about Lithuanian history and culture. Food in restaurant on the way back was amazing. Highly recommended for everybody.
Excellent trip to Hill of Crosses. Our guide Inga was extremely knowledgable, I learned so much about Lithuania and its history! Would recommend this day trip!
Everything was excellent. The highlight was the tour guide/driver Inga. She was very friendly and cool. She explained everything carefully and in addition she is a great driver. Amazing experience.
If you are only in Vilnius for 2 days like me then definitely choose this trip - very worthwhile even though it was a long day. The crosses are quite far north. Our guide Inga was amazing - she was very knowledgeable and passionate about her country's history. I didn't realise that this country has so much history. Nice lunch too - local food and very cheap
Enjoyable tour. The guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Saw lots of interesting countryside and had interesting descriptions of the country and their traditions. Excellent lunch. A great way to see Lithuania and learn about it's people.
Great tour out of Vilnius with a really interesting guide. The Hill of Crosses is not too close to Vilnius but is well worth the visit
The tour was absolutely amazing!! Andreas our tour guy explained everything in detail, never stop talking , he wanted us to learn as much as possible of the history and religion and devotion of the older generation. He told us also of some tales, we highly recommend this tour to these sacred places.
A long drive but worth it! On the drive out of Vilinius we stopped at a pretty park, walked around, and were told about the crosses scattered around the park. Once arriving at the Hill of Crosses we wandered the many hidden paths revealing millions of crosses and other religious offerings. It was beautiful, not very crowded on a cold February day, and well worth the trip. On the way back we stopped for lunch at a great restaurant where they happened to be racing cars on the frozen lake.
Excellent tour guide. Very long trip through quite a bit of road construction. Wonderfully moving destination
Our guide/driver was very knowledgeable and the Hill of Crosses is not to be missed. I definitely recommend this tour.
This tour really helped us understand a little more about Lithuanian history. Wonderful guide in a comfortable van. We headed out about 9am and headed to two different locations. Both involved some walking, but we were really happy that we had made the choice. There was a lunch stop after both stops - we didn't eat until about 2pm, so I was glad we brought protein bars and water along. Arrived back in Vilnius at 5:30pm. It was a full day.
Enjoyed the tour of the hill of crosses, comfortable transport and knowledgeableguide.
As it's a small group only three of us, it would have been nice to give us more time at the site, as I felt a bit rushed and we got back to Vilnius much earlier than scheduled, so we could have more time at the site.
We have booked the day tour. Eventhou we where with our two the tour was not cancelled. TOP!!!!
We stopped on the way for some history of crosses in relation with the partizans. The guide/driver was ferry helpfull and spoke good Englisch and explained a lot. The hill off crosses was verry impressive. On the way back we stopped at a nice restaurant good food and nice price. Also the trip was verry affordeble only 45 a person. It was a nice tour and becauce of the guide/driver verry interesting.
