This trip was fabulous. It is such nice way to see the beautiful city. The guides were very knowledgeable and humorous all through the way. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Washington DC.
Truly amazing way to get around Washington. Had an amazing time.
The best way to see Washingtons famous monuments and buildings ,No crowds, beautiful views with a very different perspective .We were fortunate in having a great guide.Communicative ,interesting helpful.
I absolutely loved this bus trip .To begin the bus drivers are so pleasant and extremely friendly. My wife and I loved the amity hop on and hop of all day.The price of the tickets is more than worth it. I highly recommend Big Bus for the best way to see our beautiful capital.
loved it, I would recommend the night tour, bus 144 . the tour guide was engaging and funny
This is the best way to see DC. It stops at all the highlights and you can walk to others from the stops and then get back on to the next. Lots of great information.
This is the easiest way to get around to the top attractions in the city.
great way to get your bearings in DC and nightime DC bus is amazing .
I checked all the reviews for all the Hop-on/Hop-offs and Big Bus had no bad reviews whatsoever. Buses were clean, very informative guides, handed out free ponchos and ear buds. They ran on time, about every 20-30 mins. They have 3 loops that take you absolutely everywhere. We purchased the 2 day deluxe ticket which included Madame Truseau's and a night tour. Would highly recommend Big Bus.
The Big Bus tour in DC was wonderful. It allowed us to see so much in the two days we were there. We loved the night tour. The monuments were so beautiful all lit up. We would have never been able to see all the monuments, Arlington Cemetery, Georgetown, The Wax Museum, the Botanical Gardens, all some of the museums if it weren't for the Big Bus. They ran on time and frequently. We would not hesitate to use them again on our next trip to DC.
Great tour! Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Worth every penny!
great day out. very interesting. period tour of house excellent.
Great - on and off whenever your wanted. Saw all the sights and could keep going back. The night tour was amazing.
Everything about Big Bus was smooth sailing. Booking online was quick and easy. No paper was required on site. I presented the confirmation on my cell phone to the driver and hoped right on. I didn't have to look for the bus, there was a bus stop right in front of the hotel Liaison. We didn't have to look hard for breakfast, the bus stoped at Lincoln Waffles excellent food, service, and prices... so worth the wait. The Big Bus staff at the counter next to Madame Tussaud's were extremely friendly and helpful young men. My two teenagers and I were very thankful for the complimentary poncho's and earbuds. We even rode up top in the rain! I would book this tour again.
Great opportunity to see DC all day long! Only factor I would watch for is making sure that you keep your email so they know for sure which plan you picked.
Great experience! First tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and filled in with personal visits to monuments and museums that he had taken and gave valuable hints especially on where some reasonably priced food could be had and where not to buy food, like 10 hotdogs from the vendor trucks. Once we hopped off and then hopped back on, the second guide was not nearly as informative and friendly. Overall a very good experience. My granddaughters loved the bus!
It was a great way to see the city during the first day of our visit. We liked two of the three guides we had...they were informative and helpful. The third guide was OK, but lacked enthusiasm.
We purchased the two day ticket and found it a great way to see all the sights on our short break in Washimgton DC. The buses are frequent, some have recorded commentary but most have a tour guide, all of whom were very knowledgeable and entertaining. The highlight of the two day tour is the included night tour. It leaves at 7.30pm and we got there at 7pm and there was already a long queue. There were four buses that night though and everyone was able to sit at the top to get a spectacular view of all the sights lit up. It was very well organised considering the number of people. The night tour contains a walking section near the Lincoln Memorial and you can either go with the guide or do your own thing. We went with our guide, Sam, who taught us a lot about the war memorials. We absolutely loved the night tour and whilst we had been past all the sights during the day we gained lots of new information in the evening, it wasn't a repeat of what we had already heard. So glad we booked it.
We only had Saturday for our tour and had time restrictions because we had to catch the train back to Baltimore, by 5pm. We boarded at Union Station in DC on the Red Loop and then transferred to the Blue loop to get to Arlington. We rode the open deck and it was great! We were able to see a large portion of sights that we wanted to, even within our time restrictions. The bus staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. WIN-WIN-WIN. The only part of the trip that needs attention would be the return route from Arlington. The route back from Arlington Cemetery to the bridge back to DC has many low hanging tree limbs that the city of Arlington need trim up higher and back some. We actually had to duck down as branches made contact with the bus. Fortunately, the deck was not that crowded, so it was actually fun however it could present potential injuries to riders if fully seated. Overall, A and will do it again! Thanks for a good ride!
Loved these busses. The guides were awesome. The night tour was our favourite.
