Great trip. I highly recommend it. Mt. Vernon is an amazing place to visit. I only wish we had more time there.
We had a great time! I love that they take you there and then you walk around for 3 hours on your own looking at what you want to
This was a great tour of Mt Vernon, very informative and the museum was very very nice. Learned so much more of George Washington than we ever knew.
Guide was full of information, trip was fun and informative would recommend to any visitors.
Our tour was excellent!! Would highly recommend this tour...tourguides were very informative and wanted to answer any questions that were asked. Mount Vernon and Old Town Alexandria are beautiful!!
a wonderful day and a delightful experience! everything was very well organized and run. The only suggestion I would like to make is that there is a wharf close by and boat trips on offer. they can be easily incorporated into the experience, considering the time frames. this information could just be made available to visitors for them to decide whether they want a relaxing ride to Fort Washington - so much appreciated on a hot day!!! or a quiet meal and some shopping.
Excellent. The bus driver Robert was very knowledgeable as well as helpful. Highly recommended.
Our tour guide was great! He was friendly and told some very good stories. The actual tour of Mt. Vernon was impressive. The mansion tour was good, and I like that we could linger afterward in the museum.
Excellent tour, the tour through the house was informative. would recommend this to anyone and lunch in the restaurant was great.

It was a nice drive to Mount Vernon, and we were able to stop at the Christ Church for a docent talk and tour. The guides were all very knowledgeable and welcomed questions. Well worth the time and money!
The Bus Driver was fabulous. This was a great tour through history. I learned anenormous amont about Washington and the times he lived in. The museum at the end was unbleievable. If you go leave time for this fabulous museum featuring of course George Washinton.
Great tour. Tour guide was also very informative and humorous. Mt Vernon is an amazing place with lots to see. George Washington was certainly an amazing person, and I hadn't realised he had so much in his life. I'm inspired to now read more about his life and impacts.
Agree with other comments that 3 hours at this site is not enough, but was still well worth a visit, especially for future reference.
Really enjoyed the trip. Everything was made effortless. The driver was a very pleasant and knowledgeable person who enhanced the trip. My only regret is that we did not have more time to spend at Mt. Vernon. There is so much to see, and three hours there just does not due it justice.
The only issue we had was locating the pick up point, confusing for people not from DC. We really enjoyed this tour. Our driver James was wonderful and our guide Mr Maps was engaged, knowable, humorous, helpful....he was fabulous!! We would liked the tour to be longer, more time needed to see and experience all that Mt Vernon has to offer.
Very good and informative. A bit difficult to find the bus pickup location and bus didn't come until 11:15 or 11:20 for the 11:00 tour start time.
Definitely would recommend taking the tour of Mt Vernon. It is an amazing place and makes you understand that George Washington was so much more than just the first president of our country.
The DC Tour guide must be use to taking 5th graders because he treated us like we were dumb little kids.

Unfortunately, when we visited it was raining, otherwise, this would have been a very enjoyable trip. Our coach driver Dee Dee was very good with a wealth of knowledge and one or two wise cracks. Would recommend this trip.
Pleasant bus ride from DC to Mount Vernon. Some dropped communication regarding hotel pick-up. Driver was pleasant and informed. Mount Vernon is undergoing some repairs. While it's inconvenient to see the home and try to imagine it without the scaffolding, it's encouraging that funding is available for the maintenance and repair. It's really remarkable to visit. Visitor center, food court, museum and touring the support structures -- all as they were in George Washington's day. It's a step back in time and a national treasure. The docents and volunteers are passionate.
