The hop on hop off tour was quite good and very convenient. Almost every time we jumped on the bus we had a great tour narrator only one time there was a guy who's voice tapered off at the end of each sentence so he was hard to follow. It's a great way to see the city and the price is great. Purchased my tickets on line and only had to show my phone to get on... can't beat that. Definitely a great way to tour as everything is pretty spread out... have fun
it was great. good way to learn your way around and pick out the highlights of the city!
The guides on the two buses which we rode were so knowledgeable and entertaining! The tour was wonderful, even though we had to end it a bit early because of bad weather. However, we ended at Arlington, which was a wonderful end to the trip.
It was great! The guides were good, the bus was cool, and the route covered all we wanted to see.
The tour started at 9 am. Our guide was the best, funny and educating at the same time. Would definitely recommend this tour.
My wife and I had the pleasure of a night hop-on hop-off experience with Henry and Nick. Henry was the narrator and comedian. Henry was an expert on the city monuments but extremely so on both FDR and Martin Luther King monuments. We have been to these monuments in the past, but never with someone who could explain what the meaning of each individual design piece signified. Nick was one of the best drivers I have ever seen. He squeezed through areas where I could slice a pice of paper between the vehicles. He was conscience of where to stop the bus for the best picture opportunities. Our tour started at 7:00 pm and we were dropped off at 11:20 pm. Every minute was truly enjoyable. SEEK HENRY AND NICK.
The tour was amazing and all of their employees were more than helpful and pleasant.
The total experience was outstanding. Michael and Caesar were extraordinary. I would recommend this particular to anyone -- especially if they are on the bus with Michael and Caesar!
Fantastic!! Very informative, Mike soothed a crying baby, made people laugh, and everyone felt at ease. He did a great job!!!
Great way to see the city and very educational. The guides were knowledgeable and fun. I would recommend this company to friends.
It was excellent. We went on Saturday June 4 and many sites were closed due to a marathon. We had 1 1/2 hours left and returned on Tuesday June 7 and got to see the sites we did not on the first run. Enjoyed the experience very much. Learned alot.
The guide, Duke, and driver, Mr. Carlos, were excellent. In fact everyone from DC Tours were very helpful.
Our bus drivers name was Ken and he did a fabulous job! Our guide was knowledgeable and had info about the basic history of the area / sites AND unusual and offbeat knowledge about the area. All in all - a wonderful experience. Our first trip to Washington would not have been as enjoyable or interesting without Hop-ON Hop-Off!
It was awesome. We booked for Wednesday January 27, but unfortunately the bus company was not operating that day, so they allowed us to use the tickets on the following day. The trolley line is made up of 2 full routes, plus one that does a shuttle route back and forth from the Lincoln memorial to Arlington cemetery. I found the drivers to be very knowledgeable on the area, and I would recommend it.
TOUR GUIDE WAS EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE, FRIENDLY, APPROACHABLE AS WAS THE COACH DRIVER. WE ONLY HAD 1 DAY AND THIS TOUR WE COVERED MORE THAN WE EXPECTED. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TOUR FOR THOSE ON A BUDGET AND LITTLE TIME
This bus was great with getting us around town, the price and the experience was worth it!
In my humble opinion, by far the best Hop-On Hop-Off operator in Washington. Modern buses, open top and air-conditioned lower. On-board toilets. Never crowded for the time being compared to overbooked competition. Great guide, live comments. The free night tour in completely covered new double-decker - some drizzle during our tour! was a nice bonus with the 48 hour package. This company is really outstanding. Also, their departure station is only a few minutes from the Smithsonian air and space museum. Complimentary drop-off at the hotel after the night tour greatly appreciated.
This tour is a must do if you are a history buff, or first timer to DC. Very informative, nice mid size group, tour guides are great and you get to see a lot in short period of time.
We had a hard time finding the buses from the food court entrance. After winding our way up from the parking garage, the food court is a maze. After that, though, everything went as advertised.
We rode on three buses and had a very good time seeing and hearing about the sights, however, Clare and the bus driver were the most gracious and knowledgable of any. Thank you for a good tour.
Nice way to see many sights in Washington DC in one day. The buses were air conditioned as advertised, which helped on a very hot summer day.
