Washington DC Monuments by Moonlight Electric Cart Tour

Amazing monuments at night

There are walking tours and there are bus tours, but this unique eCruiser tour provides an entirely new perspective on the city of Washington, DC and its many famous landmark locations by the light of night.

Meet the guide and the rest of the small-group at 12th and Independence Ave. SW, the Smithsonian Metro Stop at the base of the Department of Agriculture Building. Then climb aboard a nifty eCruiser vehicle — an open-air, eco-friendly electric cart that offers as much in style as it does with substance.

See the Washington Monument lit up for the evening; the Thomas Jefferson and Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorials, illuminated by indirect lighting from the Tidal Basin; the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, featuring cascading waterfalls and scenic sculptures; and the National World War I and World War II Memorials, with a spectacular fountain display.

There’s also the Lincoln Memorial, the Korean War Veterans Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the White House, Capitol Hill and the world-famous dome of the United States Capitol, plus the United States Supreme Court Building and the Library of Congress. Along the way, hear the historic stories and facts that make the city of Washington, DC one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States.

Wonderful tour! Our guide, Chris Anderson, was very entertaining and knowlegable about all the site and history surrounding them. Chris is a DC local and prided himself on that even providing a list of recommended places to eat. It was a cold night and the carts had plastic sides zipped during the tour. My only suggestion would be on cold nights to make slightly longer stops to get more photo ops, since the plastic windows hindered that a little. Chris dropped me off at one of his recommended restaurants and suggested the chili. It was on point and possibly best chili I've had

This is such a beautiful way to see the monuments. I've lived in the area in the past so have seen them multiple times, but never like this. Being in the electric car made the trip slower, so it was easier to see more. Seeing everything lit up at night was a unique view, especially as we were able to get some gorgeous sunlight photos as the evening changed to night. The tour guide doubled as our driver. She had lots of interesting historical information to share. All in all, a great opportunity to see the city in a different way.

A lot of fun! Chris, the guide, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He took us to all of the main monuments and imparted other DC lore along the way. Make sure you ask about bathroom breaks up front and dress warmly on cold nights. Highly recommend!

The host, Anna, was on time, very friendly and knowledgeable. There were two no shows but she still waited for 10 minutes in case they had got lost but it didn't impact on our tour as she made sure that we saw everything. It was very cold and the plastic sheets were down to keep out some of the cold. It did have an impact on taking random photos but overall it was worth it.
Lovely woollen covers to keep us warm certainly came in handy as it was bitterly cold.
The stop at the Lincoln memorial was a lot better than the one at the MLK one.
Overall, I really enjoyed it and would recommend it. Just be prepared for the weather.

Our tour was exactly as advertised! Informative, entertaining and fun! Great deal for the special price they offered! Highly recommend, although there is some walking involved, just beware.

Moonlight tour was great! It was cold but our cart was surrounded with heavy see-through plastic that had zippers at the end of each seat allowing quick entrance and exit while keeping us pretty warm. While the plastic limited our view somewhat, we were given ample opportunities to either stop briefly and unzip the covering for a quick photo or to stop and exit the cart at other places. Arianna was an excellent and knowledgeable guide with a sweet personality. Would recommend this to anyone wanting a cozy but reasonably priced nighttime viewing of D.C.!
