What To Expect

This unique eCruiser tour provides an entirely new perspective on the city of Washington, DC and its many famous landmark locations by the light of night. 

Climb aboard a nifty eCruiser vehicle; the open-air, eco-friendly electric cart offers as much in style as it does with substance. 

See the Washington Monument lit up for the evening; the Thomas Jefferson and Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorials, illuminated by indirect lighting from the Tidal Basin; the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, featuring cascading waterfalls and scenic sculptures; and many other landmark attractions.

There’s also the Lincoln Memorial, the Korean War Veterans Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the White House, Capitol Hill and the world-famous dome of the United States Capitol.

Along the way, hear the historic stories and facts that make the city of Washington, DC one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States. Finally, end the tour at your original departure point.

  • This is a small group experience, with each electric cart limited to a max of 7 people. Whilst we do our best to seat groups together, we aren’t able to guarantee this and at times, groups may be asked to sit on separate carts.
  • This tour runs year-round and will proceed rain or shine unless such weather constitutes a dangerous situation. In case of rain we strongly recommend wearing rain gear, ponchos and having an umbrella with you. The final decision on cancelling a tour will occur at least 1 hour prior to departure and all possible guests will be contacted.
  • Carts accommodate most types of infant seats and we encourage parents to bring their own. We can provide an infant seat, as long as a guest calls us at least 48 hours before the tour and informs us of the age and weight of the infant.
  • Wheelchairs can be accommodated, but not provided. We must be advised at time of booking if bringing your own wheelchair to ensure we can accommodate your request on your chosen date and departure time. All request are subject to availability.
  • The itinerary and its order of stops are subject to change at any time. Monuments visited may change due to local road or monument closure which are beyond our control. Most travelers can participate
  • Your tour covers the National Mall in an all-electric vehicle. We're committed to reducing the environmental impact of vehicle-based tourism in Washington DC, which makes up the vast majority of tours given in this city. Make a "green" difference by seeing the Mall via electric transportation!
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 15 travelers

My family and I had a wonderful experience! Seeing the monuments at night was beautiful. Additionally, Joel the assistant manager was an amazing tour guide. His friendly and positive manner along with the valuable information he provided, made the tour enjoyable!

The small group size was excellent. Our guide Regie, was very knowledgeable and accommodating and went out of his way to ensure the comfort of the group as it was a cold evening.
Doesn't go to the FDR memorial. Apart from that, it's OK

On the one hand, this was a good experience. Our driver/tour guide, Reggie, was excellent. If you just want to see some of the major sights and monuments at night time, this is a good way to do it. On the other hand we were really, really disappointed that the advertised itinerary is NOT the actual itinerary. It does NOT stop at the FDR memorial - not at all, and certainly not for the 15 minutes advertised on Viator. This was the only reason we chose this tour - otherwise we would have just gone on one of the open top bus tours that goes to all the same places for a third the price.

Being able to walk around some of the monuments was quite enjoyable. It has been a long time since I have been to DC so I was very nice to learn the history.

We enjoyed learning about the area, lots of fun facts about the monuments and historical figures. Our Tour guide Joel was friendly & knew so much. A teacher in our group thinks he should be teaching history! Joel made sure we were comfortable and really went out of his way to make sure each one of us had a good experience. Washington DC is so beautiful at night. We’d been site seeing all day and being able to be driven around and see so many things was a pleasure. This tour was the best!

We had an amazing experience on the night tour of D.C. with Ron as our guide. He was incredibly informative, sharing fascinating historical insights and fun facts about the city. The sights at night were absolutely stunning, and Ron made the tour so enjoyable with his knowledge and enthusiasm. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to see D.C. in a whole new light!

Overall, we enjoyed our evening tour of the monuments. We sat in the back and were able to snap some good photos. We would have appreciated a better view of the White House, but understand that due to security it was not possible. Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We would recommend this tour.

I had previously been on a nighttime bus tour of the monuments, which I enjoyed and found informative, but I enjoyed the electric cart tour more than the bus tour because we could take pictures from the cart, it was a smaller group, and the pace was good. Our tour guide, Dee, was amazing--very personable, knowledgeable, and attentive to our questions and goals for the tour. We stopped in many places where we stayed on the cart, but we also got off the cart and walked closer to some sites. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants a good overview of popular landmarks and memorials in downtown DC.

This is a really fun way to see all of the mounts!! Lorenzo our driver was very knowledgeable and even took some pictures for us. We had plenty of time at the stops and the electric car it a fun ride. I want to extend a special thanks to Lorenzo as my 9 yo feel asleep at the end and he so generously dropped us off at our hotel.

Wondering what to do your first night visiting DC? This is it! Open air electric cart—be sure to dress warm and maybe bring a blanket if they haven’t got them, yet. This was really perfect for us first time visiting. Ron interacted with all six passengers, added some trivia, some humor and some history along the way. The sitting backwards didn’t bother my daughter and son-in-law. Only a few times were there headlights from other cars, but most of the time we were pulled over to the side looking at a monument or out of the cart taking a picture. Had a great time and good experience.

We enjoyed talking to Dee about Washington DC. She's very knowledgeable and it is evident she enjoys her job. The most memorable time for us was the time we spent at the Lincoln memorial.

We did not see all the advertised stops. Our driver parked at the DOL for 10-12 minutes providing a somewhat bias history lesson. We wished we took a hop on hop off bus! We would have had the chance to see DC, without detailed opinion commentary.
