There is no other experience in my life that could have prepared me for the effect I felt when I first entered Pit 1 and saw the Terra-cotta Warriors and their horses! Amazing is too weak a word, and pictures do not even begin to tell you what this exhibit is truly like! As they say, You had to be there! It is perhaps the most impressive historical site I have ever visited. I want to go again!
My friend and I really enjoyed our private tour with Wendy! Our customized tour included the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, Hua Qing Palace, Muslim Quarter and Great Mosque, and City Wall. Wendy was very flexible and was knowledgeable about Xian's history. We enjoyed all of the historical knowledge that we learned from her. This tour is great since it includes seeing the Terracotta Warriors but also allows you to customize the remaining sights that you want to see.
Great experience. Victoria Wang our guide was fantastic!
This was a great tour! Jerry took us to the Terracotta Warriors Museum and then to the Big Goose Pagoda. Both were very interesting and I would highly recommend this tour to everyone.
Wow! Great tour and guide. If you are into relics, this is a must for China. Loved the wall stop and the Muslim quarter. We loved Yan Yu!!
This was a great guided tour. Victoria was an awesome tour guide and she accommodated our every needs during the trip and she was there all the way till the end of the trip. She even offer to provide us with any help if we need during our trip in China. She went over and beyond to help us out. She was perfect tour guide to have in Xi'an and I will highly recommend this one day tour to anyone visiting Xi'an it will be well worth it.
This tour was fabulous. Ms Phoenix was a great guide. We were picked up on time. Taken to the city wall and then taken to the stunning terracotta warriors. We were provided with a lot of history and shown round the complex. After that we went to the Muslim quarter for a walk and to see the mosque. A fabulous day.
This was my favorite tour we booked out of every tour we booked while in China. We booked tours in Shanghai, Suzhou, and Beijing. This one was by far the best. Our guide was so nice and very informative. She spoke very very good English as well. She knew a lot of history about places, not just surface stuff which we ran into a lot in other cities... She was also very flexible and let us do whatever we wanted with our day which was nice because a lot of other tours in China will not let you spend more/less time somewhere. They didn't try to sell us stuff or take us to any unnecessary factories. It was great. We had our suitcases with us and they let us keep our bags in the car while we toured different places and kept it all very secure. They also picked us up right from the train station with a sign waiting for us so we wasted no time looking for them included in the cost of the tour. They also have water available on the bus for you during the tour. These things were a nice bonus! We didn't have to pay at the train station. The only downside to this tour is that tickets and lunch are not included. So you do have to factor in that cost, but honestly best tour we took through the whole two weeks.
Our guide Jerry, along with his driver, was very prompt. He spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend him!
We had a problem with our flight being cancelled, which meant that we had to be at the airport earlier than we anticipated. Our guide suggested she would take us to the airport after the tour, for a fee, which meant we would have more time. We began in the city at the city wall. We paid the fee to enter and our guide explained about the wall. She left us to explore and gave us 20 minutes, but after 10 minutes suggested we move on. We then went to the museum, paid the entrance fee and once again felt quite rushed. She knew her history, but only took us to one section of the museum. Then it was off to see the Warriors. It is an amazing sight and our guide educated us. She happily answered all our questions and allowed us plenty of time here. When we were ready to leave she suggested we go and meet the farmer who discovered the Warriors. He was very happy to invite us into his home and have photos taken with us. We then went to the airport and were there very early. We could have spent more time in the city. Our guide was on her phone a lot as well. It was a good tour. Negatives, too rushed in the city. Positives, terracotta warriors. Our guide was very informative and spoke English very clearly
Guide had good English and was very accommodating although she spent a lot of time on her cell phone. Driver had one hand on the horn and the other he used to move the car from lane to lane. Not sure why he was in such a hurry that he had to cut in on everyone. Terracotta Warriors was worth the visit.
The transportation was the only upside of this private tour as the driver was great and the vehicle was comfortable. While our tour guide was friendly and her English was limited yet understandable, the way that she conducted the tour was not very professional: We were rushed through all 3 sites, her commentary and historical knowledge was lacking, and we weren't always given the option to visit all of the areas the sites had to offer. We also ended up treating her to lunch, which was fine yet unexpected. So considering everything we paid for including entry fees, we did not feel that the tour was good value for money. It just didn't seem that much effort was put into preparing it.
