Excellent tour with amazing impressions! Our guide Sophie was very competent, helpful and kind! Communication with Viator was however complicated and we struggled with the Bullet Train as the instructions provided were very poor. Train number and departure times shown on the tickets had changed and we had not been advised of the changes, which created a real challenge as there is no English speaking information desk to help passengers. The chance to inform us about the change would have been a little note with the tickets which had been delivered to our hotel reception! On the return trip we were helped by Sophie and would have been lost without her help! Viator has to be aware that clients need precise instructions such as the potential of changes in train departure times and train numbers. Nobody seemed to speak English. It would also be helpful to point out that Guilin North was the end station. The room provided for us in the Guilin Lijiang Waterfall Hotel was pretty tired looking and is definitely requiring refurbishment! They did not cope at breakfast time at this hotel either as there were too many tourists there at the same time.
