Dive in to the beauty that is the UNESCO-listed Plitvice Lakes National Park on this full-day guided trip from the Croatian capital, Zagreb. Let your guide lead you through this natural wonderland, getting dazzled by the turquoise waterfalls, streams and lakes. Get an up-close and personal view of the beautifully colored water on an electric boat and then end the tour with a panoramic train or bus ride. The tour is limited to just 15 people, ensuring ample attention from the guide.
Get picked up at your hotel in Zagreb to begin this exciting day trip tour out of the city. Ride in an air-conditioned shuttle for about two hours as you learn about the history and bio-diversity of the national park, which is the biggest and oldest in the country.
After arriving in Plitvice Lakes National Park, hop off the shuttle and begin exploring the park, marveling at the diversity of trees: from pine to spruce to beech trees and the verdant ferns that blanket the forest floor. The trail can be steep at times, going down as much as 300 steps, but it’s well worth it, as you’ll find out.
Stroll along the trails, taking in the colorful wild floors that flank your way, and pass over wooden bridges that afford incredible extremely picture-worthy photos of the turquoise lakes, streams and waterfalls.
Hop on an electric boat to get an even better look at the lakes, as you cruise along the clear water, the color of which feels like it’s straight out of a dreamed-up fantasy land.
After the ride, keep going on foot as you marvel at the views of the higher lakes. Later opt either for a bus or a train ride for the final panoramic view of the the lakes and surrounding forests. Then take 90 minutes of free time to do some more exploring or grab lunch (at own expense) at a restaurant, before returning to the shuttle for the ride back to Zagreb where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel.
Amazing place! Well organised tour.
One of the best ever. It was an awesome place. And tour guide is caring and patient. I would do it again if given the chance to go back.
This was a great one day trip to a very scenic part of Croatia. The lakes and surrounds were beautiful. The guide Tin was very knowledgeable and the stop at the War Museum for the Croatia conflict was interesting and Tin was very passionate about the story and how it came about. Plenty of breaks and paced nicely throughout the day.
Visited Plitvice lakes in September,2016 via this tour. The place was exceptionally beautiful and there are enough reviews about why this is a must visit. As promised it was a small group 11 members including us which was good because our guide Tamy could get tickets quickly and the group dynamics ensured that there was no time wasted in waiting. We got a lot of info about Croatia, its culture, history, etc from Tamy which was useful. The walking distance sounded too much but it wasn't tiring at all and I was rearing to do another 3-4kkm atleast. And as promised the hotel pickup time was informed to us via email a couple of days before the trip and they stuck to the timings to the dot. Highly recommended to opt for this tour in case you are planning to visit Plitvice Lakes.

This was an amazing trip! Comfortable bus, Group of 10 people.Tammy is a very energetic tour guide and has great charm and excellent communication skills. There is a bit of walking on this tour 6-7 miles but mostly downhill so not too hard on older people. The lakes are wonderful and a must to see.
great guide and good driver to take us there. hotel pick up was fine. guide was very knowledgeable. the park is fantastic and worth the 2 hour journey which also went through some great countryside overall day was from about 8am to 6 pm
Spectacular scenery, endless waterfalls and lakes make this a must visit site. The parks department has done a great job with the walkways.

The tour was absolutely beautiful... One of the prettiest places on earth. The tour guide Tammy, was knowledgeable and friendly, pointing out important natural and historical places along the way. She was like traveling with an old friend, and really went the extra mile.
