A slow paced, relaxing and comfortable small group tour. The guide, from Best of Switzerland Tours, was very kind, knowledgeable and very friendly. The tour provided ample free time to venture out on our own. As temperatures dropped below zero degrees, the tour was more interesting with the occasional snow. Overall, the tour was awesome.
Marvelous trip with terrific guide. Not only did we see the sights, taste the cheese and cookies but we learned both history and the current happenings. during our day tour. An unexpected plus was the bringing the cows down from the mountains.
Very well informed and patient guide. The places we visited were interesting.

This was a very enjoyable trip and the visit to Kambly Bisquit was outstanding - we are still enjoying some that we purchased. The countryside was beautiful and we found the cheese factory very interesting. Our time in Bern was wonderful and our guide showed us to many out of the way places there. It was a wonderful day!!
We loved this tour! It was very well organized and Thomas, our guide, was great. Also, we had the luxury of having the tour with only 5 people in total which made the experience even better. We saw as much of Bern as possible in a short amount of time and loved the city's beauty as well as the beauty of the Swiss countryside. I highly recommend this tour.
I enjoyed this trip. Perfect amount of time in the city. Karen was a great tour guide, and she provided a great amount of interesting information.
we loved our trip. Andreas our guide saved it. He is so knowledgeable. We found out so much about life in Switzerland. I plan to return to Bern for a visit as the city is so beautiful that one day wasn't enough.

We enjoyed this trip a lot. Amazing! Highly recommended.
We had a group of 12 persons. Our guide Monika also our driver, did a good job. She even take care of us during her meal time.
Really exceeding our expectation. We were all very happy ! Thanks Monika !
I personally felt there wasn't as much to see as I expected, but as for the tour it went very well and we had time to explore on our own.
Very good. The tour was very informative and the guide was really nice and kind. Very knowledgable too.
I originally was going to go to Bern by myself on the train and explore the city using my guidebook on the last day of my trip, but I enjoyed the other tours in booked for Switzerland so much particularly the ones run by Best of Switzerland tours, which this one was that I decided to do this tour instead. I'm so glad I did this! It was such a fun day, and I enjoyed the variety of activities that I would have missed out on if I had done it on my own. Bern was a beautiful city and I felt the amount of time there was adequate for what I wanted to do look at the fountains, clock, architecture and take some pictures, see the bears, learn some history. The samples at Kambly were good and I really enjoyed learning about how cheese was made and trying the cheeses. Our small group was so much fun, and our guide, Andreas, was outstanding! He was very nice and I learned so much. The drives in the countryside were so pretty and the guide provided a wealth of information.
Excellent day tour! See the beautiful scenery of Switzerland as you travel to a delicious biscuit(cookie) factory. Then off to Bern to see the city and it and #39;s rich history and parliament, and then up to the high green pastures of emmenthal to a cheese maker w/ tastings. Truly a great adventure!
Richard our driver/guide was excellent! Bern is beautiful and Richard did a great job showing us everything. I thought the stops for biscuits and the show dairy would be boring, but they were both worthwhile. The biscuits are excellent and the unlimited samples made for a nice mid morning snack and Richard's talk at the diary made it very interesting plus the location is beautiful and the cheese was great. Excellent day out!
Not a popular trip as our group only had 6 4 of us from the same family even though Bern is a beautiful place to visit.
Our guide-cum-driver was knowledgable and gave good explanation and brief of the places and icons. Time given at Bern for shopping and lunch is ok. Kambly biscuits tour was fun when understanding its origins as well as the plentiful biscuits for you to savour even if you do not buy any. Cheese factory tour was also satisfactory although we did not quite like the taste of the cheese produced at Emmental.
Very good trip. All the sites are worth to visit: buscuit and Emmenthal cheese factories were very interesting, Bern is beautiful. The guide was wonderful.
This was a fun trip, but it's not a full day trip to Bern. It's a trip through Switzerland, with a stop in Bern. I still totally recommend this trip, but just be aware that it is not a full day in Bern.
Great trip to learn about Bern and the countryside. We had a small group so there was a lot to learn about.
This was an opportunity to view the countryside as the drive from Zurich to Bern and back took the scenic route - and scenic it was. The stop at the cookie factory was a good time for a break, and likewise on the return, the cheese factory was timed well. We took the trip on a Saturday, so as it turned out there was no opportunity to see the cookie factory in operation and limited chance to observe cheese making in progress. The city of Bern is interesting, charming, and my wish would have been to have more time in the city itself and less time on the stops in the morning and afternoon. The guide, Beat, walked our group through the city to highlight some of the unique features of the city and then we had time on our own to get some lunch.

The guide, Konrad, arrived on time and was very organised. While we were driving to our first stop, he gave sufficient information about the tour, landmarks and points of interest. We visited the Kambly Biscuit factory in Trubschachen, where we watched an interesting video about the origins and history of the Kambly family business. We spent time tasting biscuits, exploring the beautiful art collection of biscuit tins and having coffee at the coffee shop.
Our next stop was Bern for a short walking tour with the guide. Despite the challenges extreme heat, difficulty to find suitable parking space and the demands of some tour members, Konrad patiently guided us through the city, pointing out landmarks which we could visit in the ample free time afterwards.
After having a good lunch we departed to the beautiful Emmental where we visited an dairy farm and sampled some cheese. On the way back we again could relax and enjoy the beautiful Swiss countryside.
Enjoyed this tour a lot. The biscuit factory was a great stop. I enjoyed being able to sample the biscuits before purchasing some. I was really impressed with our guide she had a cooler to keep our biscuits in until we return back to Zurich. Though it is the factory location you don't actually go into the factory just the outlet. I LOVED Bern. The cheese farm was a great stop. The only thing I could say that would have made my day better would have been to have more time in Bern. Otherwise the trip was great and the tour guide was awesome!
