What You Can Expect

Swiss Alps Day Trip from Zurich: Jungfraujoch and Bernese Oberland

Take the cogwheel train to Jungfraujoch

Greet your guide in a central Zurich location and climb aboard a comfortable coach destined for Grindelwald. Receive a fascinating introduction to the Bernese Oberland region as you travel through the beautiful countryside and then refresh with a hot beverage (own expense) during a brief interlude in Interlaken.

Travel onward to Grindelwald to board the cogwheel train headed to one of Europe’s highest points. Marvel at dramatic mountain scenery during the 1.5-hour ride up the UNESCO-listed Jungfraujoch mountain pass, and scour the horizon for the jagged peaks of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains.

On arrival at the 11,332-foot (3,454-meter) summit, gaze at mind blowing views of the Alpine wonderland below, and then ascend to the Sphinx Observatory for even more magnificent panoramas. Try to spot the craggy peak of the Aletsch Glacier, Europe’s longest glacier, and then explore the frozen tunnels of the Ice Palace during an enchanting guided tour.

Opt to enjoy a fulfilling meal at one of the many rustic restaurants at the summit (own expense) and then re-board the train for the journey to Lauterbrunnen, where your coach awaits. Relax during the journey back to Zurich, where the tour concludes.

Stephanie our tour guide and the driver sorry ive forgotten his name!! was excellent!!! Too bad we couldn't go all the way up to Jungfraujoch because of the weather but they actually went out of their way and brought us to Lucern for a quick pitstop and short walking tour! I would definitely book again with the company in my future trips and might even this one again as i have not conquered the top of Europe!
p/s the chocolate store that she will recommend at the end of the tour is reaaaaaaalllllyyyy good!

BEST TRIP WE'VE EVER TAKEN!
Words cannot express how breathtaking the view from the top was. It almost looked fake because it looks like a post card. I think a trip in the winter is much more majestic than a trip in summer time would be. The snow everywhere made it spectacular. This trip was worth EVERY penny spent. I was hesitant at first because it was so much money, but it would have taken longer to get there and would have been more expensive to go on our own...we looked up the tickets. We are so, so happy that we had a most beautiful day so we could see for miles form the top. If it's cold, be sure to bring appropriate gear. It is a long day and as all the other reviews mention, bring some snacks and water. LOTS OF WATER. Isabela was our tour guide and she was wonderful. She pointed out anything that was relevant and made sure to chat a bit with us individually. She's awesome! Also, kudos to the driver for driving that huge tour bus on the narrow, windy roads.

This trip is virtually the same as the other trip to Jungfraujoch except it makes a couple different stops along the way to drop off people. We didn't get to go back through Lauderbrunnen due to a ski race which was a bummer, but it wasn't like we would spend any time there anyway.

I was glad i chose this over the Mt. Titlis tour -- it was a great ride, the tour guide was a fantastic lady the time allotted to do stuff was just enough, the view was AMAZING the quick stop at Interlaken was a bonus.

We really enjoyed ourselves on the tour. Finding the bus was easy and the tour guide Bart really knew his stuff. We were lucky the weather was glorious and it meant we saw all the mountains. Thank you!!
