Swiss Alps Small Group Day Tour from Zurich

See the best of the Swiss Alps on your day trip from Zurich

Depart from a central Zurich location in a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan and admire picturesque scenery as you travel through the highlands of the Bernese Oberland. Make your first stop at Aare Gorge, a dramatic landmark straddled by a lofty footbridge, and stroll across the suspended structure to enjoy gorgeous views of the surrounding valleys.

Revitalize with a fulfilling lunch, and then re-join your coach for the journey to the vertiginous vantage point at Grimsel Pass. Capture photographs of the tranquil Lake Toten from 7,103 feet (2,165 meters) above sea level, and then continue to the Rhône Glacier to conquer the beguiling blue tunnel that leads to the Ice Room.

Opt to refresh with a steaming coffee (own expense), and then weave your way over Furka Pass for incredible views over the Gotthard Massif. Descend into the idyllic Alpine resort of Andermatt to uncover the mysteries behind legendary natural landmarks like the Devil’s Bridge and the Schöllenen Gorge, and then return to your vehicle for the relaxing ride back to Zurich, where the tour concludes.

Tour was OUTSTANDING!! The small group was the perfect size. Smaller bus with no bathroom but they make plenty of bathroom stops along the way. Saw everything and then some!! Would do it again and again. I highly recommend. Worth every penny.

This tour was extremely informative and enjoyable. Our guide, Richard, had lots of local and historical information for us and a quiet sense of humour, very professional. The glacier cave was a highlight of the tour and we were taken through countryside that we would not have been comfortable driiving ourselves as the mountain passes take some skill to negotiate.

Absolutely must see! The alps is so beautiful, words and pictures can't describe. If possible try to book your tour on a day with good weather.
