Beautiful train ride up to the Matterhorn. Great views, great pictures. Excellent tour guide to make sure we don’t get lost and give us some history about the area!
A “summit” experience!!!

We were blessed with perfect weather and the perfect guide! Rolf was patient, kind, flexible, adaptive, knowledgeable, relatable, and provided just enough info to make it a great learning experience but not too much for it to be overwhelming. The train had a hiccup and Rolf dealt with it like a professional - providing updates and options. We loved how relational he was and did everything in his power to make the trip enjoyable. The weather was the cherry on top! We would highly recommend this trip. Although a long day, worth every minute (and penny). Ask for Rolf - he’s the BEST!!!

If you’re looking for a day trip from Zurich to Zermatt, I really recommend this trip! Our local guide was super nice, friendly, calm, and kind. We got to ride on the train and cogwheel to get to the top of the mountain. It was super beautiful once we started riding the cogwheel to get to the top. The village was super cute too. It’s a perfect one day trip indeed!

Our group had a lot of fun and binding while traveling to see Matterhorn. And the Matterhorn itself was majestic. We even saw some kite-surfers in the valley. Exhilarating day all in all!

Beautiful tour, all the logistics are planned out for you by the guide, so you don't have to worry about all the various trains to catch (there are MANY!). Guide that was training with my guide had inaccurate information regarding The Matterhorn vs. Everest as the deadliest climbing mountain, but that's no biggie.

Wonderful trip and tour guide. Of course because it’s a day trip you will have limited time in the area but that’s the nature of the day trip. We were the only three on the tour.

An amazing trip of a lifetime

The meeting point needs some sort of signage etc. I ran around for over 25 mins trying to find the group meeting place. I had to ask so many people and received no help. One gentleman was finally able to point me in the right direction. Once on the train and the sweat being wiped away from trying to find the meeting spot all was spectacular the rest of the day. What a fantastic experience!! Getting the first glimpse of the Matterhorn on the train, I got so excited I could hardly wait to see it up close. Back down to Zermatt I was super excited to see this charming town. We didn't have much time there which was a bumber as I could have easily spent a few hours there eating and doing some shopping and going in some of the magnificent hotels. Would love to return one day....

A journey to Dale and the Lonely Mountain

This was a fantastic place to visit while travelling in Switzerland. But for the high price paid, 300€, I think there was so little time in Gornergrat (30 minutes) and Zermatt (1 hour) so it was impossible to visit the lake in the pictures which announce the tour and no city tour in Zermatt, only a visit to a lookout close to the train station to make spectacular pics of the city, but first plan was not to visit outside the train station. Also the guide was tired and sleepy in train, without much explanations. It was a very long day in train (4 h to go and 4 h back) for only 1,5 h at destination, which is unbelievable. Though, we were lucky with weather as 50% of probability to see the Matterhorn and other 50% rainy and clouds avoiding to see the mountain. To conclude, a stunning travel to Dale and Erebor (Zermatt and Matterhorn, so similar to that locations in The Hobbit film) but with a few time in destination for so much high price

Good morning Thank you for your feedback. Please be reminded, the costs are basically high for the train ticket from Zurich to Zermatt (on a regular ticket, you would pay CHF 320.-) and the Gornergrat railway (which is another CHF 100.-). That means, without our special tickets, the tour would be impossible. We know, it's a heavy schedule for a one day tour, as you cross the whole country. If you imagine, that the tourguide needs to wake up at 5am for this tour and you get up to 10000ft altitude, this makes you tired, especially in the age above 50yrs old. This information is just as a background-info.Not to rate your feedback. Kind regards

This was a great trip to Zermatt and Matterhorn area. It was indeed a small group tour. Only my family sign up for this tour on that day. It is almost like a private tour. Our guide, Eric was superb and friendly. He kept us entertained and comfortable throughout the whole trip. He is an experience and knowledgeable guide. The schedule for this tour was very flexible. Eric adjusted the itineraries according to our needs and interest. We enjoyed this trip a lot!
