What To Expect

Climb aboard a comfortable, air-conditioned coach in central Zurich and embark on a panoramic sightseeing tour of the city. Receive a historical introduction to Zurich from your guide and direct your attention to landmarks such as the Swiss National Museum and the Zurich Opera House. Look out at Lake Zurich during a brief interlude, and then cruise past monuments like the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and Zurich’s art museum.

Disembark for a leisurely stroll around Zurich’s charming Old Town (Altstadt), and admire quaint houses and grand political centers. Capture photographs of the world’s largest clock face on St Peter’s Church, and gaze at the prismatic stained glass windows that decorate Fraumünster Church. 

Reboard your coach for the short and scenic journey to Meilen, where a sightseeing ferry awaits. Enjoy a tranquil crossing of the lake, and then board a cable car on arrival in Adliswil. Ascend to a dizzying height of 2,630 feet (800 meters) and absorb sweeping vistas of the snow-capped spires that surround.

When your tour comes to a conclusion, return to your original Zurich departure point in a comfortable coach.

Perfect length. Lovely coach trip around Zurich and then the cable car was great fun. Helped it was so snowy at top of mountain. Well run tour and kept to time.
Waste of time and money

This tour was a waste of time and money, you can take the local train and see more. There even wasn't a stop to buy souvenirs or chocolate. The tour was only 4hrs not as advertised.

This wouldn't be possible by train and without a guide, that’s why guests choose to join our tour. While the official tour duration is 4 ¼, the return ride to the meeting point can be influenced by the traffic situation. If favourable traffic conditions apply, the tour may finish earlier than expected. Yet, we can guarantee you that the time spent in the attractions remains unaffected. Most of our guests highly appreciate not having a souvenir shop as part of the tour because it doesn’t add any value. Also, the limited amount of time wouldn’t allow it, but this can be done before or after the tour. In Viator's tour description we try to explain the procedure as clear as possible, and if something is unclear, guests can always contact us. We regret not having heard from you, because we’d have gladly recommended you joining our Zurich, Cruise & Lindt Home of Chocolate Museum tour where our guests have the chance to buy sweet souvenirs at the museum shop. Great way of seeing the sites and hearing the history behind same. We had a young guide called Lars who was excellent and interesting. The ferry ride and cable car up the hill is also very enjoyable.

A great way to see Zurich! My husband and I enjoyed this adventure. The bus tour, ferry ride and cable car were all excellent and the guide was great. A beautiful place to see and this was exactly what we expected.

The walking tour is a waste of time. All the site could have been indicated from the bus. It was very cold and no plan B. The ferry and cable car is good although there was very little visibility. Should have been given a choice to cancel with compensation.

The little streets of the old town are one of the most picturesque places in Zurich but they cannot be strolled by bus, only on foot. This is something highly appreciated by our guests. By bus it would be impossible to see the beautiful corners this city has to offer. We are sorry to hear that the sites your tour guide showed you didn’t meet your expectations. Unfortunately, the weather condition is not something we can control. Especially now during winter, cold temperatures, as well as snowy and rainy days, are to be expected in the cities. As stated in Viator, this tour includes a short walking tour in the old town, for which our guests need to be prepared. If the temperature was too cold, we would have appreciated it if you would have communicated with your tour guide to consider the option to stay in the bus during the walking tour. Additionally, we provide our guests the flexibility to cancel/modify any booking free of charge until 24h prior to departure. Checking the local weather report 1-2 days before the tour is always helpful to modify the booking if necessary. First time and only one day to see it all. Look no further. Comfortable coach, very knowledgeable tour guide and the amount of stops for bathroom breaks was appreciated. Really enjoyed the cable car ride and the walk up the hill to the cafe. Learned a lot about Zurich and Switzerland in general. Will recommend to friends who come

Not the best tour to see Zurich. Audrey, our guide, was very knowledgeable but way too talkative. The sites she took us to did little to provide an overview of Zurich in a way I felt it should have included.
