Our day tour in Oaxaca was incredible, and our guide, Pavel, made the experience truly unforgettable. He was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, expertly guiding us through Hierve el Agua, Mitla, and the Tule tree. The stops at the textile workshop and mezcal distillery were fantastic as well. Pavel's friendly personality and great storytelling made the whole day a highlight of our trip. I can't recommend this tour—and Pavel—highly enough!

This was an amazing value for the money. It was a very full day. We learned a lot. The highlight was a great hike and a well deserved dip in the pools afterwards. Our tour guide, Fernando was energetic and informative. Great time had by all.

Interesting sights that could be structured better
    Rachel_V, Nov 2025
This tour has a packed itinerary so is good value just based on the number of things you get to do (and many of the activities were fun/interesting), but we would choose a different tour if we were to visit again. - We wish we were better prepared for the weather. Hierve el Agua was actually quite cool and windy and we wish we had brought a sun layer - The hike before hierve el Agua took a long time and we felt rushed with our time in the actual pools afterwards. This was unfortunate as it was the highlight for us. We were given the option to skip the hike but the hike ended up taking twice as long as the guide told us. In addition, the whole tour took two hours longer than we expected. Sure good value but maybe don’t make plans afterwards. I’d prefer to remove some of time at the ruins and tule tree if possible. - You are shuttled to a buffet restaurant with only other tourists. The food was decent but probably a good thing to keep in mind. - The tour guide was also almost too detailed. As tourists you can only absorb so much. Better to provide simple explanations and let guests ask follow ups
    Excellent All-Rounder

This experience was so great! Our guide Pavel seems to know everything about Oaxaca region. Pavel = legend
Covered many locations outside of Oaxaca city centre

It was a long day but worth it! got to see, experience and learn a lot about oaxacan culture. The only downside was the buffet lunch was terrible. The restaurant hosts a lot of other groups and food would run low. While there’s suppose to have a lot of food choices/options the restaurant was unable to keep up with the refill. At times, people were fighting and hoarding their plate with food as soon as it arrived. No fault of the travel agent, but they should relay this feedback to the restaurant, or use a different one for better service.
    Things to remember!

Lees was a great guide. She had great energy and was very helpful in making sure we were taken care of during the long day. Remember to bring cash and prepare for swimming at the Hieve el Agua. The textile mill was also incredible. Miguel was an incredible driver as well.
    Well rounded tour

Fun, all day adventure. At our first stop, our tour guide (Ricardo?) made sure we grabbed some breakfast from one of the vendors at the site. Thank god because we hadn’t eaten breakfast yet and we’d be hiking at the next stop. Hierve el agua was quite the hike, a bit challenging especially with the elevation but doable. The lunch spot was a solid 5/10. Not horrible but not great. Next, Mitla. We definitely could have spent a little more time there and gotten more information but we seemed to be on a time crunch. More so because we joined another group. Not so much because our guide was in a rush. He wasn’t. The rug excursion was nice and the mezcal tour was very fun. Overall a well rounded tour.
    A full and interesting day
    Michael_S, Nov 2025
It's a long day but really a comprehensive visit to a number of interesting places. The guide and driver were top notch and the guides provided at the site were very good as well
    Great tour.
    Paula_J, Nov 2025
I arranged complimentary pickup and after 30 minutes of waiting I messaged them. Apparently the company never saw the request. They did pick us up and dropped us off at the first stop to connect with the group which was great. The agenda was great but lunch wasn’t until after 3pm. It was a group buffet with many buses. Options were scarce. Mole had no meat left and other dishes were restricted in portions. This was a paid lunch not included in the tour. The dessert was jello a couple of fruits and rice pudding. We would have enjoyed a local lunch in a traditional community much better. Our guide Ricardo was excellent. He explained so much to us about the traditions and villages. Can’t recommend him enough.
Thx Ricardo for this amazing day !!!

Miguel was nice and informative. This tour hits a lot of the highlights outside Oaxaca City. Hierve el Agua is a must-see.
    Outstanding tour
    nmedina001, Oct 2025
It was a wonderful tour. Our tour guide Alvaro & driver Israel, were very professional and caring, they made us feel like family. The tour was well organized, well paced (we didn't feel rushed), and very enjoyable. The only part of the tour that was sub-par, was the food at the restaurant/hotel that we stopped for lunch. It was frankly not very good. Everything else was outstanding (5 stars for the tour portion, 3 stars for the food). I highly recommed this tour.

Very good tour. Guide Pavel, was exceptional. Hike to waterfalls is difficult, there is an easy way down and up for people who can’t hike strenuous walk. Long tour but ending tasting mescal, priceless.

Long day, but worth it! Liz and Jorge were fantastic. Attention to detail: complimentary water and change for the bathrooms. Very knowledgeable in both English and Spanish.
Amazing day with the best tour guide ever - Ricardo!
    Tamara_B, Oct 2025
This tour is especially suitable for visiting Hierva el Agua BEFORE the crowds arrive. We arrived shortly before noon, went on a hike, and finally took a dip in the mineral pool. The day was long, full of sightseeing and extensive information. We enjoyed every minute because we were in the best hands with our tour guide, Ricardo. He was incredibly dedicated, extremely attentive, and provided us with all the necessary knowledge, even answering all our questions. Ricardo always attended to each individual's needs and, for example, proved to be a perfect private photographer. He created a friendly atmosphere. In Mitla, Hierva el Agua, and the mezcal and carpet-making demonstrations, he didn't shy away but provided additional support to these external guides when they couldn't answer all of our questions or only spoke Spanish.
    Very worth it! Great time
