It's a great experience, time goes so quick, really experienced guide and driver, bring some cash it's not necessary but it's nice to have
    The highlight of our trip

    Authentic Oaxaca
    Melinda_R, Mar 2025
Long day, but totally worth it! I loved the variety of activities, the fun international group and the masterful tour guide. I felt that I got to SEE Oaxaca, from pre Columbia to modern times. The calcified waterfalls were better that any pictures I saw before hand and were the highlight of the day. There was a great balance of tour and solo time.
    Angel was an Angel!
    Bonnie_T, Mar 2025
Our tour was absolutely fantastic and exceptionally well-planned. From start to finish, everything was seamless, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the experience. Our guide, Angel, was outstanding. His deep knowledge of each site, combined with his gift for storytelling, brought history to life in a way that was both engaging and informative. You could truly see his passion for his work, which made the tour even more special. Beyond just sharing facts, he made every moment captivating, and we thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with him. Our driver, Hector, was an absolute gem—kind, courteous, and always looking out for us. He ensured we traveled comfortably and safely, always ready to lend a hand as we got in and out of the vehicle. Together, Angel and Hector made this tour an unforgettable experience. We couldn’t have asked for a better team, and we highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an amazing journey!
    Definitely worth the full day

Great value a full day. Get to see alot of places. Angel tour guide was very knowledgeable and passion about Oaxaca.
Great tour if you want to cover a lot on one day.
    Janni_V, Jan 2025
Angel was a wonderful guide. We had a great trip! Tour is quite long but great option for someone who wants to cover many sights on one day. Herve del aqua is beautiful and it was interesting to see the mezcal distilling process too.
A piece of Heaven called Oaxaca
    LUCERO_G, Dec 2024
This is a great tour if you have limited time in Oaxaca, this day trip will give you the experience of true Oaxacan culture, my favorite was driving through the sierra madre mountains to see Hierve el agua (boil water) the amazing petrified waterfall, the view is amazing! The lunch buffet was great, got to taste a little bit of many traditional foods. Textile making was super interesting, talk about sustainability and using everything that nature gives you to create this amazing Art! And of course, Mezcal, Oaxaca water! Mezcal tasting in the palenque was amazing! Our guide was super nice and friendly and explain everything step by step. Our Oaxacan native guide spoke perfect English, I was blown away! I 100% recommend this trip.
    Fabulous tour

I had a great time visiting the various points of interest around Oaxaca. I especially enjoyed the mezcal tasting and the fabulous restaurant buffet.
    Wonderfully, educational, and beautiful tour.

The guides were attentive, accomodating, knowledgeable, and considerate. I will book a tour again when I return to Oaxaca.
Save your money! totally not worth it.

I rarely leave a bad review but this one is warranted and I would hate for you to waste your money. The minibus driver is essentially the tour guide. However someone did meet us briefly at Tule Tree, Teotitlan del Valle and Mitla. who spoken very broken English. And unfortunately for me, the driving did not speak a word of English so half the time I had no clue where i was, what the next stop was or what was happening. This was frustrating as I did select that I wanted the english tour guide. AT Teotitlan del Valle the presenter/ weaver explained the whole process in her native tongue, however when it came to trying to sell the rugs she was able to speak english fluently At Hierve el Agua the minibus driver just dropped us at the car park, and we had to find our own way to the spring. Thankfully there was other tourists that could point me in the direction of where the spring was. There was of course people charging to guide you to the springs. PLEASE DO NOT PAY FOR THIS. Once you find the paved path it is just a 15min walk down hill The Buffet is the worst lukewarm poorest representation of Mexican cuisine ever and not worth it. The mezcal tasting experience was also tragic. When we got there we were just walked around the small n courtyard and given the option to sample 4 mezcals. To finish we was taken to a bakery ... why i do not know. This was random as it was not on the description. we was given a talk about the bread (in spanish) by giggling boys and of course was encouraged to the buy baked goods At every point of this tour, we either had to PAY EXTRA to access the sites or was expected to make a purchase. The sites are incredible and worth seeing, but considering you still have to provide your own entrance fee and the lack of guidance, I would plan your own excursion!
    FANTASTIC!

Your guide and the driver were knowledgeable
    Himanshu_M, Apr 2024
Very good day trip from Oaxaca. They picked us up right from our doorstep but upon returning, they dropped us 15 minutes walk away.
An excellent tour - I highly recommend it.
    Kenneth_G, Apr 2024
Amado was an excellent driver, was highly competent and honest. It was a great tour - everything advertised was included with a perfect amount of time allocated to each stop on the tour. It was a long day - 12 or 13 hours - and it was worth every minute. I definitely recommend this tour.
Full day trip - nature, history, ruins, mezcal
    Aneta_R, Mar 2024
The tour guide was excellent. Really knowledgeable and brought the destinations to life. Mitla and Hierve el Agua are must sees. We would have loved to know the end time of the tour. Didn't arrive back until 730pm.
Overall satisfactory tour - good mix of Nature and History
    Priyanka_G, Mar 2024
First half of the tour was great - the guide was knowledgeable and eager to help, answer all the questions I had and also spoke pretty good English. We saw the Tule tree and visited Mitla archaeological ruins, followed by the handicrafts demonstration which was impressive and then the Mezcal tasting which was fun. However the second half became a little unorganised as the tour guide had to escort back one of the tourists, leaving the rest of the group at mercy of the Spanish speaking driver and a local guide. We had to hike to the dried up limestone waterfalls which was anyway tricky because of the high temperature and with the local guide who wouldn't explain anything in English, navigating the terrain was difficult. Rest, it was a satisfactory tour.
    Wouldn't recommend
    Douglas_R, Jan 2024
Wouldn't recommend. Organisation not great as meeting point unclear and despite arriving early my partner and I were separated on the very cramped minibus and in the worst seats with no chance to sit together over the course of a very long day. The tour tries to fit in too much and some stops are too long e.g. lunch, Tule tree and Hierve el Agua. Didn't get to mezcal tasting til after 6 by which point most just wanted to get back. Lunch buffet was also very poor quality. I'd suggest doing a shorter tour to make it more enjoyable. The tour guide himself was very good though but was only around for just over half the day.
Complete day filled with sights and fun!

Fantastic and completely day. Our guide Miguel Angel was very insightful, patient and friendly. Did every stop worth seeing and at the best price!
    I miss Oaxaca already!
    Elias_H, Dec 2023
Angell, our guide was upbeat and informative literally on Christmas! From the world's widest tree to learning about handmade Zapotec rugs and seeing the history of Mitla, my family and I truly enjoyed our adventures in the Oaxacan countryside. If you want to swim in Hierva al Agua (I did) be warned that it's cold and bring a towel and flip-flops unless you want sandy feet :) Mezcal tasting was fun but it would be nice to visit smaller distilleries so that the tourist dollars are more evenly distributed than these larger tour bus circuit stops. I miss Oaxaca already!
