The tour starts early, 9:30. Tony, who was so interesting, walked a group of 7 around the Jalisco neighborhood explaining the murals and political art. We went in to a museum, and a few art galleries to see different examples of art. No pressure at all to buy, but you could have. One highlight was going into a printing gallery where we made copies of a choice of lithographs. Lovely meeting the people there. Walked away with a numbered print. The end of tour we then sat down for a very educational and delicious chocolate tasting. Again, no pressure to buy chocolate, but had opportunity to and of course we did because it was delicious.

Highly recommended this incredible tour. Tony was so knowledgeable and fun. He gave us great insight into the incredible art and history of this magical city. It was a perfect way to spend the day. There is a lot of walking but it’s not at a fast pace and very doable for me and my little dog. Thank you so much!

In depth explanation of the political meanings + inspiration behind the murals which gave us more insight into Oaxacan culture.

Great way to explore the urban and modern art scene! Loved all murals and getting to know about modern history through art.

We saw and experienced things we would have missed on our own. Every shop we went to was locally owned and socially concerned.

Great insight into the the street art and artists of Oaxaca. Interesting to learn the political connections with some of the art. Our guide, Tony was good. Loved the paper-appliqué murals; they are unique, and learning about how they are made added to their appeal.

It involves a lot of walking in a hot environment. Need to bring water and hat. Guide was very knowledgable and friendly (Tony). Need comfortable shoes!

Fun and informative for those who are interested in learning about the rice paper rebellion focused murals. Wear comfortable shoes and plan to stand or walk most of the time. Bring a snack, we got hungry during the active 5 hrs. Tony was an energetic and intelligent tour guide. English easy to understand.
