Sebastian was a great driver. The highway between Oaxaca and Puerto Escondido still has some areas under construction so be prepared but overall a great trip. Nice car, air conditioned and awesome service.

Awesome ride from Oaxaca City to Puerto Escondido

This was a great way to travel privately from Oaxaca City to Puerto Escondido. Our driver, Ramses (no doubt spelled wrong) was a very pleasant young man, and he drove very safely. I would add that I can be nervous on Mexican highways, and I felt very comfortable the whole way. He delivered us to our door in Puerto Escondido with sketchy address/instructions. This was a great way to go!

Private car was right on time, very clean, driver friendly, and he even kindly allowed us a bathroom break halfway through. He drove us safely down to Puerto Escondido. Would recommend as a very easy and peaceful way to get to Puerto Escondido.
Unreliable car company

Our driver was 1.5 hours late from our scheduled pick up time. First he said a 30 minute delay due to road closures but how did it turn into 1.5? Not sure if the company was short staffed and had to send someone from a far distance but none of that was communicated to us. We asked for a discount and he offered to drive us to the airport but we wouldn’t chance it again. Luckily, our schedule was flexible but if you need a reliable car service, I cannot recommend this one.

Our driver was good, always felt safe even considering the style of Mexican driving is kind of like Formula 1 when it comes to passing other vehicles. Not really any English and did not offer any Spotify use or even air conditioning adjustment when asked. I put that down to communication. Also, the new highway to PE had just opened and from pickup to drop off the trip was 2 1/2 hours. We booked about a month previously and paid about $540 CDN accepting it was a 6 hour drive. I see the price has been reduced by just over $100 CDN, probably to reflect competition for the shorter trip. All in all, we arrived safely and relatively comfortable. The convenience of being picked up at your Hotel and dropped off at your destination is worth something. Tipped the driver 200 Pesos as he did get us to our destination safely in a comfortable car in good condition. Just felt a little burned on the price for a 6 hour trip when it actually took 2 1/2 hours, but that’s what we signed up for and we made it to PE.

The new road to Puerto Escondido opened that morning, the journey took under 3 hours rather than the expected 6 1/2, knowledgeable driver added to the entertainment.

It was a much better experience than taking the bus. Saved a huge amount of time, vehicle was clean, the tires however were completely bald, we didn’t find this out until we got a flat tire 2 hours into our 6.5 hour drive… we made it safely but that was a concern as we had to change the tire on the side of the VERY curvy road that’s when we realized all the tires were bald, the flat tire didn’t come from a nail legitimately the tire wore down so much it wouldn’t stay inflated. Highly suggest gravol for this drive as well that road is very curvy and you will most likely get car sick. 3+ hours straight of curvy. Door to door service was awesome. Would use the service again for sure but tires need to be checked

If your driver gives you the option of taking the ‘new highway’ I recommend you decline. We agreed to this and regretted the decision. The new road will be great when complete, but as of Dec 2023 it is not ready, drivers should not be using it.
