Great value! Bellagio was one of my favorite places in Italy. So beautiful. This tour was wonderful, with a comfortable (very nice, new) coach for transport. Seeing the coast from the water was lovely. The Swiss chocolate was delicious. Our guide Sara was wonderful, funny, knowledgeable. I loved this day trip from Milan.

Itinerary

Board your coach near Milan’s Porta Garibaldi Station, and travel north to the Italian lakes. Your first stop is Lake Como, and the best way to get a feel for the glamorous lake is to explore its western branch where celebrity villas and film locations sprawl from the hills to the water's edge.

Stop at the handsome town of Bellagio on the lake’s central promontory, and hear tips from your guide for your free time. Explore the cobbled streets, shop for souvenirs, or savor Lombardy cuisine in a restaurant (own expense).

Finally, leave the Italian side of Lake Como behind, and cross the border into Switzerland, where Lugano beckons. Here, you can shop for Swiss chocolate or luxury Swiss goods, stroll by the lake, or admire Bernardino Luini’s Renaissance frescoes inside the Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli. Regroup later to return to Milan.

Sara was a great tour guide, she gave us all the little tips and tricks for our journey, but for Milan in general as well. We were lucky to have great sunny weather towards the end of October, so this day trip was amazing! The boat ride on lake Como if you are lucky to go on a sunny day is gorgeous! I would definitely recommend.

Be careful! If you are 5 minutes late due to a traffic accident like it happened to me, they won't wait and they won't give you a refund.

This was a chartered bus tour and a great way to spend the day exploring the lake area outside of Milan. I would suggest spending less time in Belaggio and more time in Lugano, as there was more to see and do there.

Tour was great! Lake Como was amazing and Lugano was also a very interesting spot. The tour guide, Amato, was wonderful. He was very clear with his communications and was very knowledgeable. He also kept the tour going at a good unrushed pace. In addition one member of our group of 6, became ill at the very end of the tour. He showed compassion and went out of his way to help us. Giuseppe, the bus driver also showed much skill in transporting us to the various locations.

Had a great time on the tour today with Amato as our funny, kind and informative guide and Karim as our expert driver!! Lake Como/Bellagio and Lugano were all beautiful and we had the perfect amount of free time at both locations. It was almost a 10 hour day but definitely did not feel like that. Upon our arrival back to Milan, Amato gave us all tips and tricks for places to see as well as options for getting back to our respective accomodations. All in all, my wife and I had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this tour to other folks.
