Although we do include a lunch stop at Mel's Diner which is known for it 50's styling and frequent celebrity sightings, we also encourage our guests to take advantage of other options they might prefer.

A Day out with “Friends”

We were privileged to take this tour with John, with Sunseeker Tours! He was not only a wealth of knowledge but also humorous, courteous, and a wonderful driver! He took every one of our questions seriously, And enthralled us with not just facts but anecdotes that created a picture we would easily remember, and would laugh about! 🙂 We traveled, laughed, visited many attractions, including the Classic Mel’s Diner for lunch, which was a wonderful stop and lunch! We saw seals on the pier, had delicious chocolate gelato with salted caramel topping at a little ice cream shop at the Fisherman’s village! Although we were from many different places, John had a way of bringing us all together! We left this tour feeling like we spent a wonderful day out with friends! What a wonderful gift! Thank you, John, and Sunseeker Tours for a day and tour and friends to be remembered! 🙂 We Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone, with this great tour guide!!!! The guide Alberto was very knowledgeable and imparted a lot of interesting information in a light hearted and often humorous way. We saw everything and more as promised and he guided us safely through some very heavy traffic. He is a credit to your company and we would have no hesitation in recommending this trip to anyone. It was too long. The driver kept repeating himself. He bragged about kids dropping out of High School making $100 and hour. Told us about the Mafia and all the bad things about LA then said nobody knows the good stuff because no one talks about it. Our thoughts "neither do you." The shuttle may fit 14 but certainly not comfortablely. The general consensus is the tour should go directly to Hollywood Sign, then Hollywood Boulevard for 1.5 -2 hours (1 hour isn't enough time to enjoy it), then Mel's Diner, then to Venice Beach. Taking us to Santa Monica Pier and giving us 45 minutes is pointless because of the walk all the way down not enough time to enjoy it.

Well, where do I start? The tour encompasses over 100 miles reaching attractions spread across Los Angeles county. Although Hollywood is a significant part of the tour it is not intended to be the whole experience. In our marketing materials, we try to make it clear that it is an 8 hour tour and should be considered to be a sampling of many of what LA has to offer. I am curious of where the "general consensus" came from as we have not had comments from anyone else on the tour you were on. Your indication that the driver bragged about kids dropping out of school, the Mafia, and bad things certainly is not part of our tour. I will discuss your comments with the driver for his input.

The guide john was wonderful! The people we were with were rude and made it difficult for us to sit together. Five of them spread out and they felt that was their seat no changes 🙄

Thanks for your review. I have shared it with John and he too thanks you for what you have said. As you know, whenever possible, we do pick up our guests at their hotels and, as the bus fills, they normally change seats to accommodate others as they board. We don't assign seats because it is rare guests don't "work together" to keep together as closely as possible. Apparently, that did not happen with that group. Hopefully, their attitude did not adversely affect the tour for you.
