Meet your guide between 7am and 8am at select pickup points in the Lake Garda area and a seat in your air-conditioned coach. Then, head into the Dolomites — widely considered among Italy’s most beautiful mountain ranges — to begin your 11-hour tour.
Stop at the traditional mountain town of Cavalese to browse chocolate shops and admire the traditional architecture. Then, stop for photos at Lake Soraga near Moena.
Afterward, head deeper into the Dolomites to the Pordoi pass and reach altitudes of up to 7,300 feet (2,240m). Admire panoramic views over mighty peaks including Catinaccio, Marmolada, and Sella, and capture the scenery on camera.
Following free time for lunch and an optional cable-way ride up the mountains (own expense), continue to the traditional resort town of Ortisei — famous for its intricate wood carvings. Admire the beautiful timber buildings for which Ortisei is known, and perhaps pick up a souvenir of your day in the craft shops.
When your time in Ortisei comes to an end, start the return journey in comfort. Stop for coffee and a bathroom break in Nogaredo and finish with drop-off at your starting point in Lake Garda.

We left before daylight on this very long bus trip from Desenzano, del Garda. But, even before we boarded the bus we enjoyed gorgeous pre-sunrise views. The gentleman running the tour was very sweet natured, extremely informative regarding the history of all the areas we passed, and perhaps a bit verbose. We made a morning stop in a great little cafe with reasonably priced cappuccino and croissants. So delicious I went back for seconds on both. It’s a long trip, very long — some of the towns we stopped in were touristy end of little interest to me. But as we drew closer to the mountain peaks, the views became magnificent, there so many beautiful formations to see. The tram up to the top is a must. The ride was smooth and it was exciting looking out and seeing the changes as we went up higher. At the very top, there was snow and it was quite cold. Make sure you have a hat, gloves, scarf and a warm jacket ( the tour was at the end of September). The views are majestic in all directions. There were several paragliders that were fun to watch. At the top is a little restaurant where I warmed up with some hot chocolate. We had the most competent bus driver imaginable, as that we went around many hairpin turns on narrow roads during our journey. We left before 7am and returned after 7pm. We stopped briefly in a touristy town afterwards and enjoyed an interesting museum with fantastic wood sculptures — saw some amazing sights in a church. After we went to the top of the mountain, I would have chosen to head back since the day was a bit too long.

Unfortunately it was very cloudy when we went up the gondola to the top of the mountain so we did not get to see the beautiful view. HOWEVER, the bus ride up and back and the stops along the way were well worth it. Beautiful scenery.

Spectacular tour that leaves you breathless up on the Dolomites. You feel like you’re in another world. The trophy cable car to the peak offered amazing views!

WOW!!!!…this is a MUST DO when in Northern Italy! Words do not even begin to tell you how amazing this was. We had Fredrico “Ricky” & will never forget this tour. The double decker bus was so comfortable & our driver Paulo was awesome.

Thomas our guide is fantastic! Entertaining and friendly. The tour is good . I know Dolomite is hue, so many area we need to explore! My suggestion is you should expand more different area. Not just only the same area all the time. But we still love it. From Florida, USA.

We took this excursion, I had been planning for over a year. The ride was beautiful, however, the first snow had fallen and my husband took the cable car ride, with practically zero visibility. Very disappointing. I feel the tour director should have been forthcoming and said visibility is bad, but who wants to take the $30 ride are aware of this.

It was a full day with a superb guide and excellent driver. Spectacular breathtaking scenery and, fortunately, fabulous weather. One of the best experiences we've had on holiday. No negatives at all.

The tour is a beautiful experience if you like the mountains. As most of tours tend to be rush in some parts, but considering how far the mountains are, makes sense. Ciara is the best tour guide, she knows every details of the route and give a lot of information about the area. I think there are things that can be improved. The first stop is too long in a town that have nothing of interest, with 15 min is enough and maybe you could add 30min to the mountains that are the main attraction. There were 78 people in the bus sometimes you feel that the AC is not enough. The bus is comfortable with two floors and you have a good view of the landscapes. Overall if you like nature you will see one of the most unique places of the world. So I would recommend undoubtedly.

Nice experience to see Dolmites buss driver was awesome . The gondola charge for tour groups was posted for 25 and the guide charged us 30 which I think is not fair and think I should along with all the other passengers as well 5x 30 or whatever # was is a nice tip. Sneaky I know one solo who asked for the money back right away and she should have given all but that was the experience.

The tour is very informative and nice.
The only draw back is that you are in the coach for too long because the distance it way to far.
Very understandable.
But the highlight was the tour leader.
Fredrick Von Gal.
He was super charming / patient/ and even passed some jokes.
Well done to the driver ( Paolo if i remember well)
For handling that big monster up those hills.
