What a fabulous day with amazing staff who made the journey to our island so enjoyable with music, singing, snacks and a very chilled vibe and met some new people along our trip. Itinerary

Kadavu Lailai is the perfect day-trip destination in Fiji. Encircled by white-sand beaches and surrounded by coral reef, the pristine tropical island is the perfect spot for a day of relaxation.

After Denarau resorts pickup, step aboard a sailboat and admire the views as you cruise for about 60 minutes to the island. Morning tea will be served aboard.

Upon arrival at Kadavu Lailai, take part in a kava welcome ceremony. You can decide how to while away the hours: Swim in the azure sea, stroll around the island, or sunbathe on the sandy shoreline. If you're feeling energetic, a selection of activities such as snorkeling, beach volleyball, reef fishing, and use of kayak, stand-up paddleboard, or canoe is included. Coral viewing onboard a glass-bottom boat with a marine biologist guide is included.

Dig into a buffet BBQ lunch accompanied by beer, wine, and soft drinks. Enjoy afternoon tea back on board the ship as you sail back to your starting point.

The staff were amazing ensuring everyone was comfortable and food was great. It was beautiful sailing and the scenery great. My son and grandchildren loved the snorkelling and watching the baby sharks swimming around. Recommend this trip as not over crowded.

This is my second attempt at a review . I have only had positive things but not for the day trip. They told us we cant go on the morning snorkel but we can in the afternoon and one turned up than to tell we could not be found at the meeting place . The manager however ignored us for most of the trip back . Only reason i know i approached the person and asked why didn't you take is out. Never again will hire my own way yo do this

The crew are extremely kind and knowledgeable. We visited Kadavu Lailai Island and it was stunning. The marine biologists helped make the trip educational as well as interactive and interesting. The food was fabulous and what a treat to have traditional Fijian food.

I had doubt on the way to the island as it was very ordinary and the glass at the bottom of the glass boat is so dirty. However, the guided snorkeling experience is among the best I've done, do many sea stars and all sorts of colorful fishes and coral reefs. The underwater world near the beach is absolutely unparallel and the waves are very gentle so the swimming is very easy! The lunch buffet is surprisingly delicious and offers a lot options. There are also sufficient time to enjoy the beach without feeling too short or too long. The crew kept us entertained on the ship by playing instruments and singing (beautiful singing!). Genuinely enjoyable trip!

A perfect day in Fiji

This was a great way to spend the day. From the moment you arrived you felt welcomed from the amazing staff. We were able to try kava on the vessel. There was plenty to do on the island or just relax. We saw Bali the next day and she greeted us with open arms. We will be back.

Nice day out

Was a nice day out. The people are super friendly! We mainly wanted to snorkel and kayak, but the water was very murky. Snorkeling was awful, and we only saw 1 kayak to use. We would have appreciated the opportunity to change days for a better experience as those were the main activities we wanted to do and ended up just sitting on the beach the entire time. The lunch was great. The tour says, "sail". It isn't a sailboat, but a large catamaran. The are lots of tours similar to this one so do your research. If there isn't another option, I would still recommend this activity.

Absolutely unforgettable experience! Our day tour to the private island in Fiji was pure bliss. The staff were warmly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure we felt at home. Snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters was a dream, with an incredible array of colourful fish to discover. And the BBQ feast? To die for! Bula Bula Island Snorkeling!

Trip was wonderful! Started with the drive from the hotel. The pick up time from Club Fiji was at 8:30 and was communicated far in advance! The driver was exactly on time, and provided a clean and comfortable ride from the hotel to the port! Arrived early and was able to check in. Bought sunscreen, and was able to do a little shopping before boarding at 10 AM. The welcoming music from Weiss and James was fun and made for a great time. Enjoyed the kava ceremony on board lead by Bale. Bathrooms were down in the galley. Nothing amazing but clean and well stocked. The Captain Nathan did a great job getting us to the Island on time and with a smooth ride. Island was great size. Loved Snorkeling! Recommend getting out early to snorkel if there’s a possibility of rain or clouds later in the afternoon. The snorkeling in the morning was at low tide, but the views of the coral were phenomenal. Was able to see several different species, the bluest starfish, a few angel fish. And even followed and viewed a ray! Overall snorkeling was very very good. The drinks were always available. And the free cabanas were worth it on the left side of the island. I was not able to utilize the paddle boards or kayaks due to the weather and rougher waters. But I was not dissatisfied. Rather spent time eating the delicious lunch and several glasses of wine! And taking a trip around the whole island, and viewed the clear blue waters and the beautiful shells that washed ashore on the beach!

I wish I owned this place or lived on it! This is spectacular and if I lived closer, I would visit it every day. It felt like the day went by so fast. I love the peaceful and serene feeling that it gives. My husband and I absolutely loved it. Thank you for making our honeymoon so great!

90 minute boat ride each way, less than 4 hours on the island, just okay

Overall it was a good experience, but not one we would do again. The boat ride to get there took 90 minutes each way because the boat goes extremely slow on purpose, which leaves you less than 4 hours on the actual island. The island is beautiful, but if you wanted to have a lounge chair/cabana on the beautiful part of the beach it’s 109 FJD per cabana. There are free loungers on the other side of the island, but the beach there has turtles nesting so you cannot actually walk from the free lounger to the water. They did a buffet lunch which was delicious! There is also a complimentary glass bottom boat tour which is okay. You can snorkel around the dock but that was also just okay, not a ton to see but was still fun! We also did a day at Malamala beach club which we would absolutely recommend doing over Tivua sadly if you do not have enough time to do both.

The boat was fine, but a bit on the tired side. It could do with an upgrade. The staff were friendly. The glass bottom boat had a crack in one of the panels, so was taking on water. The glass and the boat needed a good clean. It was very shabby looking.

Very fun day! Due to the ongoing rain,, we traveled by catamaran rather than sailboat. The team hosting us entertained the guests with singing and morning tea. When we arrived at our private island, we were able to go snorkeling, kayaking, Iwalking the perimeter of the island at one point people struck up a volleyball game right on the beach. Open bar from the time we stepped on the boat until returning back to Nadi. The crew on both the boat and on the island were friendly, helpful, and gave 100%. I highly recommend this trip.
