After meeting your guide in the historic city center, you'll begin your local food tour of Florence by learning about how Tuscany's culinary history and respect for quality produce carries into how Tuscans continue to make food to this day. Your first stop is at a delicatessen where you can taste Tuscan prosciutto and other typical salumi, all of which come from the owner's free-range organic farm. Savour Tuscan Extra Virgin Olive Oil on toasted bread with our local pecorino cheese, perfectly washed down with a glass of Chianti. The next stop is charming spot that offers the best of Cucina Povera Toscana. You can look forward to tasting Ribollita or Panzanella, Pappa al Pomodoro, Lampredotto, Bread with local wine. After that much food it’s time to visit a true iconic Enoteca, a real treasure trove of local products from the region, including wines, olive oils, and pastries. Think of it as a Tuscan food museum! Wandering further, you'll indulge in a gelato treat from a beloved local gelateria and finally end your tour at traditional sweets shop to taste some amazing Tuscan Almond cookies. We will bid farewell with a glass of Vin Santo. It's a quintessential Tuscan ritual nobody should miss!

Great way to start your stay in Florence!

An absolutely fabulous evening spent with our guide, Mara! What a great way to start our stay in Florence, getting a feel for the beautiful city with the guiding hand of Mara and great conversation with the rest of the people who joined our tour. We visited establishments we otherwise wouldn’t have known about, and a brilliant surprise stop in the cinema/bookshop which was stunning. The food and wine were delicious, and the pistachio gelato we opted for was out of this world. Mara was incredibly knowledgeable and great fun. Highly recommend!

Chiara was a great guide. She took us to some wonderful local flavors and wines. Very accommodating when she found out one of our group didn’t drink alcohol she was able to get a non alcoholic wine choice for them. Highly recommend this tour.

Hidden gems of food and wine were brought to our attention. It was a nice mix of meat,cheeses,wine,and gelato We enjoyed walking with the tour guide Mara. She educated us on more than food and wine as we strolled past interesting historical buildings and statues.

Great experience, our tour guide made this amazing! She was knowledgeable and super friendly! We did a private tour, there were 4 of us. I would have liked a little more food variety but that is not the tour guides fault. She did take us to some great places but it was mostly meat, cheese and bread. Again, the guide made the tour 5 stars, her name was Mara and I highly recommend her!

The food tour was very fun. Mara did a great job showing us the authentic places to eat and drink around the city center. The gelato she took us to was incredible! Be aware this is not a museum and sightseeing tour.

Mara was our tour guide and she was incredible!! She gave us a great combination of classic foods with hidden gems. Some food I had never heard of and would have never known to order. She gave excellent recommendations for the rest of our trip as well. Loved all the information about Florence as well. You could feel her passion for the city. It was short and sweet!

Our tour guide was very informative and shared a lot of extra info and funny stories about Florence. We loved all of the food and he was very patient with our group. This was a great thing to do on our first day in Florence because our guide gave us ideas for what else to do and we got a sense of the layout

Ciara was a fantastic guide and would recommend her 100%. She is so passionate about Florence and its history and you can really tell she loves it all. She took us around Florence to some amazing family run foodie places and taught us a lot about the history of the area, about the local wines and about gelato. She gave us some great recommendations too for the rest of our trip (Vivoli affogato was a great recommendation). Thank you Ciara. 😁
